Perfect spot right on the beach with good coffee, delicious food and friendly service with lots of locals. Had smashed avocado/eggs on toast the first day and enjoyed the place so much we came back the next day for the unbaked beans/granola - all delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely smashing cafe by the sea. The views are spectacular, and the food, drinks, and service match the views. It's literally one of the best places to watch the surf and relax on the deck. Very highly recommended

What a lovely spot. Visited here a year ago and back again as it was so good last time. Was a bit busy when we arrived mid-morning. Still only a 5 minute wait, which was fine. Ordered fish tacos x 3 orders and a melon juice. Table water was provided chilled. Juice and Tacos turned up quite swiftly and looked absolutely amazing. 3 fair sized tacos presented well. Tacos were very tasty and filling. Fish had a light batter, and filling was a nice touch with black beans, chared corn, coriander, and snow pea sprouts with a slightly spicy mayo. The view is to die for. Lovely view of Flynns beach. Staff were friendly and relaxed during what seemed a busy time.

No joke - my partner and I reminisce about the avocado smash back in New York! Every time we visit family in Port, our mornings begin with a swim at Flynn’s, and a delicious brunch. The staff are always friendly and go out of their way to your visit comfortable.

Delicious, fresh and healthy offerings with plenty to chose from, also for vegetarians. Service was quick and kind, and obviously this place has one of the best views in town. Would definitely go back!

Cafe on the beach. Views are just great. Food was awesome. And quick. Coffee great - and quick.

We had the BLT which they were happy to turn into a BLAT (adding Avo). Delicious.

And the breakfast hash.

So good. In and out within 45 mins but never felt rushed. And they delivered my much needed flat white within about 2 mins of sitting down. Less than 10 mins (probably closer to 5 mins) for the brunch.

A cut above the usual seaside Cafe with a Manager who seems to care about finding a seat for you, great food, fast and friendly service and a well shaded view of the beach. This cafe delivered much more than I expected. Try the all day breakfast ( the smashed avocado was delicious ) or try a burger. Simple fare served well. Highly recommended

Was an overnight stay and we found this perfect Cafe to start the day off. Coffee and breakfast was amazing with an even better view. Yummy. I'm GF diet and they made sure it was perfect and more importantly it was so delicious. A stroll on the beach and was ready to travel again.

Stayed in Port Macquarie for a full week and every day had coffee and breakfast at the Sandbox. Super fast service. Scrumptious food and great coffee. The views over Flynn’s beach are amazing.

Upbeat and experienced staff set the happy Sunday morning tone, opening on the dot of 7am to efficiently serve the waiting queue. We had the hash - poached eggs, roasted tomatoes, char grilled corn, black beans and chorizo, topped with the most perfect avo. So delicious we devoured it without stopping to take a photo, so you’ll just have to take my word for it. Coffee was excellent, and of course the view. Yes, there are limited tables, but plenty of grass and picnic benches if you want to move off. What a lovely way to start the last day of our holiday, highly recommend.

Perfectly situated on Flynn’s beach with amazing views. Offering a relaxed laid back beach vibe, puppy friendly and attentive friendly staff. Meals were well portioned and full of flavour. We dined here a few times on our trip as it finished out costal walks with the dogs. Local and tourist favourite.

A great place for breakfast. Roughly 1and 1/2 hours south of Coffs Harbour, the Sandbox cafe is worth a visit at Port Macquarie. Relaxing back with an incredible view while you eat a great breakfast. We went when the “nippers” were training, so it was busy. However, the staff had it all under control. Simply service that was not expected. It was great! We did not have to wait for the food either. I had the pancakes and my wife had the egg and bacon roll. Oth were very fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend this place for a stop. Only problem is, you may get lost in the view, or go for a swim. Simple awesome!

Beautiful cafe over looking Flynn’s Beach we stopped for breakfast and throughly enjoyed the atmosphere.

What a wonderful find! Stayed nearby overnight for a road trip and managed to find the Sandbox for breakfast. Awesome food, not too pricey and a spectacular view of the beach. Staff were super friendly and they do all day breakfast and lunch, and the coffee was super tasty.

Easy walk from nearby accommodation or you can walk up and down the beaches of Port Macquarie from here.

This cafe is amazing, the food was 10/10, we ordered pork belly mojo and fish taco, ingredients is extremely fresh, and the flavours were sooo good, the coffee and the dessert were also 10/10! We went on a weekday around lunchtime , it was still quite busy. However it didn’t take to long to get our food, what would be better than nice food with nice ocean view? And it is reasonably priced . I wish they open in Sydney too 🥹🥹🥹, they would have been definitely one of the best here too!

Great place for brunch with a view! The staff are super friendly and the prices are quite reasonable too!

We ordered the ice chocolate, ice chai latte, eggs benedict, and fish and chips! All of which tasted delicious.

Ideal place to visit on a nice sunny day! You can park along the road to the beach.

It does get a bit busy on a nice sunny day, so you'll have to keep a lookout for a vacant table.
