Wauchope District Memorial Hospital

As a church pastor I have had numerous occasions to be in hospitals visiting those unwell or grieving. I have found the palliative care ward of Wauchope hospital to be one of the best I have ever experienced. The nursing staff are deeply compassionate and the doctors are wise. Those I have been visiting facing the end of their lives are cared for in the most astounding way. The compassion from the nursing staff is other worldly. Their professionalism and competence is in my opinion unrivalled. Thank you to those who work so hard. You make others lives better and in turn make the world better.

This is a top class facility. The doctors are professional and caring, the nursing staff get top marks for the job they do so well as do the physiotherapists, occupational therapists and even the cleaners display compassion. The facilities are excellent. I am extremely grateful to all those who helped me on my road to recovery.

Had a minor procedure done the other day and was quite nervous. Everyone from intake to the moment I walked out the door was friendly and re-assuring. Really happy with my experience, thank you all!!
