Merivale Motel (Official 4 Star Rated)

Room was pleasant and clean, bathroom was very pleasant. Kitchen was everything you needed, overall a very good stay, would recommend!

We had a relaxing 5 night stay, the rooms were large and clean. Sally was lovely and has even been kind enough to post some items that we left behind. Highly recommend The Merivale when you are in the beautiful township of Tumut.

Lovely motel. Really clean and up to date facilities. Walking distance to the supermarkets, cafes and entertainment. I really loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom. Definitely stay again.

Has everything you need for when you stay here. The rooms aren't massive but are flexible and as a highlight for myself personally I enjoyed the memory foam bed, 😆 probably my best sleep in my life. We stayed for 3 nights. It's spacious and clean. Parking spot just in front of our room. Shops are in walking distance.

Rooms were lovely and clean. We arrived on a freezing day, but staff had put the heater on for us so we walked into a warm room. Bathroom had underfloor heating and heated towel rails. Staff were extremely friendly too!

One of the best motels i have stayed in spotlessly clean. Plenty of double power points, thought it was fantastic that either guests could assess lights beside bed and also from same switch turn of other lights in room with out geting up. Electric blankets heated towel rails heated tiled bathroom floor for quest comfort.10 out of 10 cant rate this place high enough.

Wonderful modern and super clean rooms. Very accomodating for late check ins, and even left the air con on for us to warm up the room. Plus the underfloor heating in the bathroom makes this a motel I will definitely visit again.

Nice Hotel for Budget Traveller, nice Air-conditioned rooms, Bathroom floor is heated (surprising feature for a budget stay), all beds have electric heaters fitted, small kitchenette with fridge and microwave, some refreshments for your morning tea as well. everything is very clean. Quiet location but walking distance from restaurants and shopping areas, banks etc. TV is smallish and I wish air conditioner was bit more powerful.

Modern (new), fresh, clean, light, comfortable, convenient, great value. Basically - perfect!

Having stayed here a number of times, in various rooms (travel most of the year), here's my summary of Merivale for your convenience..

Thumbs up:
Zero contact check-in & out with a clever lockbox system.
Kitchen with sink, microwave, kettle, fridge (wfreezer box), utensils, holloware etc.
Very fast internet (~50/20mbps up/down).
Super smart Samsung TV easily connects to laptops and phones.
Heated floor, heated towel rail, electric blankets, powerful hot shower.
Good air conditioning, comfortable bed, peaceful sleep.
Centre of town (Tumut) and Tumut is a great base for accessing a host of other areas.
The owners obviously take great care of their motel including the externals for the comfort of their valued guests. All staff are always friendly and very helpful.
This motel is actually better than many hotels. Speaking of motels, here at the Merivale you definitely won't find depressing bare brick walls, dusty curtains, dingy lighting, musty odours or sticky tv remotes!

Everything a 3.5 star motel needs. The kitchenette was great. Close to town and quiet.
The extra blankets, pillows and quilts were very useful, but the bedspread looked a little aged.

I come to Tumut regularly with Dad for a weekend.. we usually stay in the caravan park. It was fully booked out so we booked into the Merrivale.Motel, beautiful clean rooms with everything you would possibly need. Beds separated by the bathroom and shower. Making sharing so easy.$250 for two nights . We won't be going back to the caravan park.

We highly recommend this motel. We stayed for two nights and loved everything about it. The staff are lovely, rooms are clean and they have a great kitchenette where we could organise meals if we needed. Also provide discount breakfast vouchers if needed. Looking at coming down to Tumut yearly and this will be where we stay every time from now on.

Merivale is a hidden gem. Very friendly welcome at reception! From a modest exterior we stepped into a modern, spacious and comfortable room, very clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Tumut.

Rooms are neat and tidy and well layed out. All the services are in proper working order, mini kitchen and close location to supermarket are just awsome. Last but not least ..exceptional customer service. Loved our stay over there and definitely visit again!

Very good size and well set out for a motel room and the tv was a new smart tv with all the apps and connected to the internet so you could use them. Would recommend if ever in tumit

The bed has an electric blanket, there is underfloor heating in the bathroom and complimentary Netflix and Stan. The most comfortable motel I have stayed in recently.
