Anglo-Australian Telescope

Well worth the trip! It was amazing to learn all about the history of the telescope, our planets and universe. Cafe staff friendly and coffee is good 👍 could do with some more souvenirs like posters, miniature telescopes, mugs, pens, books etc. Enjoyed ever minute of our visit.

Amazing tour, our tour guide was helpful and full of amazing knowledge, well worth the price of the tour. Cafe was simple but served good coffee and cold drink, small knowledge centre with plenty to read and learn. Staff on site were helpful and knowledgeable. Amazing experience will be back.

Our visit to Siding Spring observatory was well worth the visit. Learned amazing details about this observatory with our knowedgable guide Donna. The views from the outside walkway were spectacular!

Fantastic experience. Take the lift to the 4th Floor. Plenty to see and to learn more about our Universe and worlds beyond. Excellent photographs of different constellations. School aged children will enjoy very much.
Plenty of parking available with signboards showing half models of planet earth, Jupiter, Venus etc on the route up to the Telescope.

The largest optical telescope in Australia! This thing is an absolute beast, though would recommend doing one of the tours to get the full experience.

Wonderful ANU Scientific Facility in the Big Sky area highlighting the importance of what the place stands for. Well worth visiting along with the wonderful walking trails the Warrumbungle Ranges offer. Observing sensible approach & being well prepared in a practical sense will see a wonderful safe visit for all when doing the hiking

Excellent exhibition area with very up to date information and great explanations. Unique experience to see the telescope. Perfect for families. Cafe is nice with good, well priced food and drinks

It's fascinating how big the telescope in the Observatory which is atop the Warrumbungle Mountain Ranges.
