Update: I was contacted by the salon and offered a recolouring session with Aery.
She listened to all my needs and recoloured my hair and it seems very pretty now and closer to what I wanted.

You can see the colour change in the last photo attached, it builds towards the bottom and is alot warmer, just the way I wanted.

———————————————————————-I chose Aery Salon after having read reviews and researched about them, came with some reasonable expectations for my balayage but wasn’t very impressed with the balayage they did on me.
I told them I wanted my balayage colour to build gradually towards the bottom and didn’t want it to look brassy. I wanted a warmer shade. They bleached and toned up my hair and it looked like the first picture here.

After telling them that it was the last thing I wanted my hair to look like and that it looks brassy, they toned up my hair a notch to make it look like the next picture.

But, it still doesn’t look like the colour I wanted and don’t really give that balayage look that I paid 480 dollars for.
They look like highlights instead!

Not very impressed.

I was absolutely pleased with how my hair turned out. I have thick course straight hair with prior bleaching. My hairstylist, Sophie, is very skilled in cutting, washing, coloring and styling. This is the only salon I would go to if only I was a local!

I visited Aery Salon on a trip to Melbourne and I loved it!! My hairdresser was Lyn and she was great! She got exactly what I wanted without me having to explain too much. Lyn did a perfect job and it turned out even better than I hoped. She was also super nice and understanding! Everyone at Aery Salon is so friendly. Their services are extremely reasonably priced, considering the high quality they offer! Highly recommend!! :)

I personally loved it at Aery Salon, I got a toning/Colouring for my hair and it turned out so good!! The process wasn’t bad for me and they were very generous in asking whether I wanted snacks or drinks during the process. In conclusion I will be coming again for another hair colour I can’t wait till then!

Aery has been doing my hair for 9 years. Need I say more? But actually such an amazing salon. Always welcoming and caring. She’s a colour wizard but the other stylists are just as talented. They are courteous and friendly. Worth every penny. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!!

Called in for a last minute hair cut (I have thick and long hair), the ladies were super lovely and friendly! They washed, cut and blow dried my hair so quickly and looks amazing. Thank you and highly recommend

I visited Aery Salon today and got a perm by Sophie. Have to say that she did an amazing job and was so so kind with the whole service as well. Offered explanations for after perm care and styling options as well when I was unsure. Definitely would recommend to anyone who was thinking of perming or just styling hair

I had a great experience with Lyn! I showed her some pictures of haircuts that I like and she gave me a better hairstyle that I have never imagined by considering my face shape and hair type and even my lifestyle! She listens carefully and understands your desires. She is also very nice and kind. 😌 Thank you again for everything!

So pleased to get my hair done at Aery by Lyn, she was very professional and knowledgeable, suggested perfect color tone for my hair. I normally am very scared to get my hair done at any place but it turned out to be amazing. I got my hair colored and a hair cut, everything done professionally, very happy with the results😊

I've never had my hair professionally done at a salon before so my sister recommended Aery and I am so glad she did. It was a wonderful experience from start to end. I had my hair done by Lyn who was super attentive, kind and patient. She went through a thorough consultation with me at the beginning to discuss what I wanted. I tend to get anxious in new environments but Lyn was so kind to answer all my questions, reassure me with any concerns I had and made sure to clarify so I completely understood what she was going to do. I also am an indecisive person so it was really helpful to ask Lyn for her recommendation and advice on what colour and treatment I required for the session.

As we went through the appointment she explained every step that she was doing which made me feel a lot less anxious. While my hair was bleached I actually had Lyn and another hairdresser help which was amazing because I felt like I was getting the royal treatment! Such good efficiency and team work! Lyn also chatted to me every now and again which was great because that day I was feeling a bit stressed from work so it was great to have a chat but also have some time to work on my laptop when I was waiting for the bleach/colour on my hair to work. I also wear glasses but since I had to take them off to do my hair I couldn't actually see what it looked like in the mirror. Lyn immediately noticed so every time she did something to my hair, she would prompt me to put on my glasses and have a look which I thought was great service.

When Lyn did the final reveal at the end of the appointment I was amazed at how much I loved it! She styled my hair as well so it had beautiful waves and she took amazing photos which she shared with me. Lyn also explained to me how to take care of my hair and gave me clear instructions on how to maintain it. Thank you again Lyn and Aery Salon for a wonderful experience. I really appreciated how welcoming, friendly and professional you all were and I am excited to come back!

Had my hair cut here today and was by far the best experience I’ve had with any salon. Levi was extremely gentle and paid so much attention to detail. Not to mention all the other girls were super lovely too! Thank you so much

I had my hair done at Aery Salon on Monday. 3 other people were involved in doing my hair as my main hair dresser kept attending to other clients. I was really excited and I attended this salon due to the good reviews I had researched. However, I asked for brown balayage and this is how it turned out. I trusted them, paid $440 for this and I was really upset as it looked super orange/brassy in natural light, (First photo).

After my review, I was contacted by Aery (owner/hairdresser), who said she would help to fix my hair today and this 2nd experience was perfect. She listened to my requests of what I wanted my hair to look like and was very patient, professional and kind. She also clarified that the hairdresser who did my hair on Monday was actually new. I am so much happier today and my hair turned out so beautiful I had that strut in the street kind of vibe with my new hair as I haven't had it dyed in so long. Thank you Aery. After an extensive research, I finally decided to give Aery Salon a try. I have been in search for a suitable hairdresser for my hair for years, and it’s safe to say that I finally found one — Aery! She was very attentive and really listened to my request on how I’d like my hair cut and to look like and most importantly, she delivered. I went in feeling anxious about trying a new hairdresser and left feeling happy and grateful.

Another plus is the price — it’s affordable. I was actually expecting it to be more than what I actually paid. The service was also very efficient and I was attended quickly when I arrived (thanks, Ina!). It was definitely worth the one hour and a half trip each way to and from the city.

Suffice to say, I will only ever go to Aery Salon for my hair.

I had my hair done a couple weeks ago at Aery salon however it came out ashy platinum instead of beige blonde. I contacted the salon after and they were very understanding and got me in the next week to fix my hair. The way that they had handled the situation was professional and kind. I’m so grateful to Aery and Levi for listening to my concerns and fixing my hair. I now have the blonde hair of my dreams and so many people stopped me to compliment my hair. I’m so thankful to the team for their help and providing such great service

The attention to detail, five star customer service, really giving you the exact tone and colour is not easy when you're working for 7 hours on one person's hair. My hair was yellow after 3 bleach treatments and they recommended I do a bit darker so after a few washes it will be the same colour I wanted. These are the things that are little things but they really do add up when you're trying to get your hair done professionally 😁

One of the best salons i’ve ever been to! I usually don’t leave reviews but this place is too good not to leave a review hihi. My hairdresser Kaylee was extremely welcoming and kept my company the whole time, we had a consultation session at the start and my hair came out exactly how I expected it.

Additionally, they have a super helpful customer service area. Quick and prompt replies for whatever questions I had :) I’ve attached a few photos of how my hair came out !

Another great experience! It’s my second time going to this salon and the second time I’ve ever had my hair dyed. Despite feeling very nervous about the whole process of dying my hair, they have continued to ease my nerves because of their friendly attitudes with their clients. They’ve also managed to offer me insight and recommendations for my haircuts and hairstyles, while still encouraging me to have complete say in the final product. Most definitely going to be the salon I will continue to return back to each time!
