Rowena Corner Store

This neighborhood cafe is such a treat! Their mocha and almond croissant are delicious! People here are very warm and welcoming too, they make it a point to chat with you. The almond croissant is super fresh and one of the better ones I’ve had in Melbourne for sure! On a weekend, this place gets really packed. Rowena is definitely a favorite of mine in this beautiful neighborhood!

What a fantastic brunch spot.

We had some time to kill in the AM before meeting friends in Richmond and found this place having a wander. My partner ordered the porridge which was divine, covered in a large collection of fruit and a great blueberry compote. I ordered the eggs benedict, which might be the very best I’ve had in Melbourne. Such great flavour, well portioned and perfectly cooked eggs. Highly recommend. Coffee also excellent.

Pricing was respectable too. Can get really busy too.

The bacon benedict was very hearty and delicious. Flat white was perfect. Friendly service. Highly recommended for lovers of good Mediterranean food.

This place is awesome. The service is really good, and the food is just delicious as is the vibe. My only slight criticism is that I would have loved my coffee to have arrived before my meal not during as the delicious spicy meal overpowered the flavour of my coffee.

Loving the new look post-reno (yes, it's been too long)! Our meals were delicious and very generous serves. Really friendly staff and all-round good vibes! Will be back (soon).

My girlfriend brought me home a cookie from this place and I insisted we needed to go the following day to try it for breakfast and coffee. What an experience. Great food, great coffee, great cookie and great spot. Thank god she brought home that cookie!!!

I got the Green Cilbir Eggs that came with celeriac, which I’m not sure if I’ve eaten before but I really enjoyed! There was a good diversity of food textures which made my brain buzz hahaha.
Definitely come and check it out if you’ve got a chance!
Because we were there a bit late in the day, they started packing some of the display treats away and gave us some danishes for free 🥹 so nice aaaa

Never disappointed with the food here! If you like brunch that’s not over the top, but far from boring - this is a great spot.

The banana bread was the best I have ever had. Such a lovely vibe with photos of early days on the wall. The staff are exceptional. Nothing too much trouble for them and always smiling. Great way to spend a few hours with family and friends

Such a cosy and welcoming cafe, with indoor and outdoor seating. My meal (and coffee) was flavourful and well priced. The service was super warm and genuine. Looking forward to returning.

Great food, excellent coffee and a very cool vibe and decor. One of my favourite brunch go-to’s.

A peaceful neighbourhood offering. A warm feel from the space which is heavy on the browns and decorated well with Mediterranean pantry items. Kaski was the pick. Firstly, the bread matched the dish; crunchy, chewy and functioned to balance and scoop up the rich sauce. The sauce is now on the list of things to recreate at home, capsicum, olives, tomato, paprika, it all came through. The hint of spice from the chilli, and acidity and juice from the tomatoes was balanced by the ricotta and the overly (in my opinion) generous serve of feta. The Small Batch coffee is another pro. Completely satisfied, hope to return, do recommend.

My second visit in a few weeks, great food and caffeine options combined with attentive service and an unforgettable ,eggs, bacon apple-slaw chimichurri Benedict on sourdough. Sorry forgot to take photos this visit 📷

Love this place. Super friendly staff. The milk bar feel gives me the warm and fuzzies. The food is always excellent too. Pictured is their warm autumn salad which was tasty and big! I also love their bacon.

This is my local cafe and it’s a lovely one - beautiful decor and charming exterior. Solid menu with a range of sandwiches, excellent coffee and very quick service.

There’s a little deli as well so you can grab stuff to take home.

Such a sweet little spot. I love the old school aesthetic that actually feels pretty authentic and not contrived by hipsters. The fact that the space is in an old milk bar helps create that feel, as does the fact that the stock a lot of products you would find in one. I haven't tried any of the food, but the coffee and service are great.

The decor was lovely and the staff was excellent. The kaski I got was absolutely incredible, one of the best cafe meals I’ve had in Melbourne!
