We took Lexi for her first swim yesterday. The ladies were so lovely, all wishing her a happy birthday. This is a great option for us as Lexi is quite reactive and dog beaches are not suitable for her.

We booked our dogs in for a private swim session today just to build there confidence around water and to see how they would go. To our surprise they both did well even with one of them being anxious and got really good feedback from the two instructors. Sharon and the instructors, were very friendly, positive and made the dogs and ourselves feel welcome at the swim centre. We will be back in the near future to help further our dogs swimming skills.

Splashtastic Success at K9 Swim!

Hello there, Katsu the Aussie Shiba Inu reporting on my latest aquatic adventure! If you're imagining a Shiba doing the doggy paddle, you've got it just right! I've recently completed the 'Puppy Splash' program at K9 Swim Hydrotherapy & Wellness Centre, and oh boy, what a journey it's been!

Firstly, a big bark out to Sharon and her team – they're the real MVPs (Most Valuable Pooch-pamperers)! From my very first dip in the pool to my graduation swim, they've been there with encouraging pats and those delicious treats that magically got me swimming.

Safety was never a concern, as I was donned in the snazziest life vest and guided with the gentlest of hands. Each session was like a new adventure, filled with splashes and fun, and tailored to help a land-loving pup like me find my sea paws.

Sharon's warm heart and expertise shone through every lesson. She has this canine charisma that just makes a furball feel at ease, even when the water looked a tad too wet for my liking. Her staff matched her enthusiasm paw for paw, always ready with a smile and a kind word, ensuring every leap into the pool was a confident one for me.

The facility itself is top-notch – clean, welcoming, and so full of energy! I'd wag my tail in excitement the moment we'd pull up in the car park, eager to splash around and show off my latest doggy strokes.

And let's not forget my ‘pawrents’ – they were absolutely thrilled to see me take to water like a pro, and they couldn't stop wagging about how attentive and friendly everyone was. The staff ensured they were part of the experience, cheering from the sidelines with big grins.

After 6 weeks, not only can I swim with the best of them, but I've also built a sea of confidence that's spilled over into other dogventures. I give K9 Swim my seal of approval and four paws up! Any pup looking to dip their toes into something new, make a beeline for K9 Swim. It's a barking blast!

Sharon and the team at K9 Swim made us feel welcomed and comfortable straight away. Very professional, organised and thorough in their work. Really take the time to understand your dogs history and needs and accomodate their temperament. Our dog is highly anxious and the way they handled her to make it as stress free as possible was just lovely to see. Our dog built a relationship with the team very quickly and had amazing results to improving her balance and mobility.

I have been using K9 Swim for about 10yrs now and can honestly say the team are amazing! They are welcoming, friendly and supportive and really do care for the pups they help.

My 9 year old golden retriever lost a leg to cancer. The staff at K9 Swim are incredibly caring and professional. As a result of continued hydrotherapy my boy is running around so well. The program has maintained his muscle mass and the staff are amazing. So blessed to have this business so close. Their care is second to none.

Staff were very friendly and attentive.
We took our mini dachshund puppy for his first swimming lesson. All we needed to bring was a towel. There were two trainers dedicated for him and he had the whole pool to himself. I found that for a first timer, they catered for all our needs. We will be returning for more :)

Booked in 3 swimming lessons for our Dobermann. The first session proved to be very rewarding and our Dobermann, although scared initially, loved it and also loved the attention of the girls working there.
The service was professional and the level of care was amazing. No pushing or forcing dogs. The hot shower and little massage at the end was a smoothing end for our dog.
The other two lessons were just as professional and enjoyable.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Having a reactive dog can be tricky, but the team at K9 Swim Hydrotherapy were considerate and well educated on the matter, making it a completely pleasant and stress free experience. Shilo thoroughly enjoyed his swim, and as a senior dog, I was so pleased with how careful the vet nurses were when introducing him to the heated pool for his exercise. A wonderful experience.

From what I've seen first hand is that Sharon and the ladies are all lovely and they really care so much for our fur babies. They take the time to get to know your fur babies personally and they are so knowledgeable and extremely helpful and like us to ask as many questions as we like. The grounds and inside are always kept clean.

Last week was my first session with my dog who has had his front leg amputated in November. His Physio suggested Hydrotherapy to help maintain his over all muscle without the impact. I absolutely LOVED it!!! Everything about this place is professional. I got a text asking me to arrive early so paperwork etc.... could be filled out. The team had my dog in the water at our allocated time. They managed my expectations on how long he would be in there and were so thoughtful and kind to both him and I. Dogs in treatment don’t meet other dogs which was very important to me. In one door and out another so no accidental bumping into others. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I’ve booked in a regular weekly treatment for my boy and have also booked in weekly swimming lessons for my puppy. I’m writing this review as I’ve had such bad experiences in other facilities through my dogs rehab that it was brilliant to be in a place that actually cared for both ends of the lead.

Absolutely LOVE this place! My Rottweiler Cross has been suffering with a knee ligament issue for over a year now and has put on a lot of weight as a result of not being able to go on walks anymore. The prognosis from the dr was surgery and lots of meds for the pain, meds that also made her sick from time to time. I met Sharon from K9 Swim on our first visit for my dog’s 6 week Rehab program to deal with her weight and ligament issues. Sharon suggested that with the rehab program my dog might not need surgery. Not having a medical background I wasn’t sure but decided to put my trust in Sharon and her team. We live about a 2 hour drive from k9 Swim so this was really a leap of faith for me, but if we could avoid surgery I’d drive twice the distance! We are just over halfway through the rehab program and my dog no longer needs her anti inflammatory meds, she is more active and can exercise longer without crying out in pain. In fact, I’ve not heard her cry in pain or show any signs of pain since the week after we started and she can now jump in and out of the car without assistance! As I said, I’ve no medical background, but what I will say, is that this place was the miracle we needed! Thank you Sharon and your dedicated team of hydrotherapists. You guys take such good care of us and show my fur-daughter so much love and care.

First experience at K9 Swim with my senior boy. After a series of injuries and illnesses we where recommended the rehabilitation program by Sharon. I learnt a lot in our consult and he had a great workout in his first session. Really looking forward to seeing his progress as I can tell he is in the best hands with these professionals.
Everyone was lovely to deal with and the facility was great.

Update: my dog’s mobility improved and so did the muscles in his legs - he was suffering from muscle atrophy and had spinal issues which led him to drag his hind leg. Thank you Sharon and your team for your help.

Really helped my dog Jasper, who sadly has passed now. I took him here for hydrotherapy every week for over 2 years and it really made a difference. It helped his arthritis and gave him an extra couple of years of mobility. I only regret I didn't start it sooner with him.

Lovely ladies very friendly and caring. My boys are so happy when we go there.

Due to the wonderful effort of the staff at K9 Swim I am extremely pleased with the outcome for my dog Kichi who was having trouble gaining muscle tone in her rear legs. Kichi was enrolled in the full hydrotherapy program and I was amazed at the difference in her even after just two sessions.

The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to make every visit a pleasant one.

I would highly recommend K9 Swim for dogs whether for rehabilitation purposes as in Kichi's case or for fun or fitness.

My Korjo has been doing hydrotherapy for 6 weeks now after a horrible hit and run where he almost didn't make it.
The staff at K9 Swim have been so kind, gentle, reassuring and patient. Korjo is quite a shy little boy and every staff member has been very accommodating to him, making sure he is as comfortable as possible. Everyone who has guided Korjo during his swims has worked so hard and been very supportive. Sharon has gone above and beyond for him. I can't express how thankful I am for their guidance, advice and the work they've put in. Korjo still has a long road ahead of him and hydrotherapy has definitely been a positive aid in his recovery.

Highly recommended great team.
