Black Duck Brewery

On the back down to Sydney and we spotted this place on Google and saw that the ginger beer was great, it was.

Everything else was good too, loved the session IPA. Place is full of character. A hidden gem well worth swinging by!

Had a great time at this little gem. Highly recommended to visit. The gin was good and the beer paddles were great! I tried the fizz, XPA Peach, ginger beer (I went back twice for another!) and the larger… great spot! Will be back!

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. We visited Black Duck Brewery on a Friday night while on holiday thru Port Macquarie. The beers were tasty and on this Friday night they had handmade pizza and a top notch local young artist performing live (I believe this is a regular occurrence for Friday nights). We had a great time here and I highly recommend it for any travellers passing through.

Fantastic little setup here with the bar out the front of the warehouse.
You can see both the brewery and the bush across the road from where you sit.
There are two massive friendly dogs to keep you entertained as well.
A little out of the way at the edge of the industrial estate, but very quiet and the staff are as friendly as they come.
I'd recommend the Gingerhole Alcoholic Ginger Beer. Got myself a carton to take home for just $60!

Visiting this brewery is a must while in Port Macquarie! I absolutely love this place. Delicious hand-crafted beers and great, quality food. The variety of beers is really good and it’s got a nice friendly local vibe as well as being affordable. The jerky is delicious, as is the dukkah and bread. We live in Sydney and have visited a few breweries but this place is stand out! Skip the wineries and come here instead.

Dropped in for a sample or three after a Friday stroll. Friendly team, backed by the appealing aroma of a boil on the go. All eight tap beers, plus the bottled IPA I tried, are more than serviceable, from a quality pils to a dangerously tasty stout.... Tasting paddles are good value, as too the middies and schooners.

Great place to stop off and have a beer. They had some absolute crackers, live music, and a BBQ to boot (I think it was a Friday when I went).

Fantastic beers, the perfect craft beer atmosphere and the gorgeous brewery dog just topped off the experience. A must visit when in Port if you’re a fan of quality craft beer. Just a shame we can’t buy the beers in Sydney

My mates and I loved this place. After visiting another uninviting brewery in an industrial area close by we were pleasantly greeted with a smile from Danny the bartender when we entered the Black Duck Brewery. Danny was a gentleman and obviously loved his job. The beer and the cheese plate went down a treat and was well welcomed on a cold day.

Fantastic brewery! $7 tasting paddle was perfect for trying all of the beers on tap- really enjoyed the selection. Great vibe, friendly staff and beautiful dog! Shared some of their firewood when they overheard ours got wet the night before. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Our favourite local Brewery, great tasting beers, local live music on Friday afternoon and home made wood fired pizzas. Great way to unwind after a hard long week. Staff are fantastic and owners very friendly with a constant smile 😃

Love the atmosphere, the beer and the food. Great live music! Most of all, I love the Great Dane security and customer well being detail. Best brewery in Port Macquarie. Drop in if you’re visiting the area, or drop in more often if you’re a local.

Black Duck Brewery is my favourite place in Port Macquarie to not bring my dog. They provide two lovely dogs for your enjoyment leaving no reason to bring your own, this allows you to focus on their excellent beer and service. The passionate Owner and Staff really magnify the wonderful experience while not bringing your dog.

Had a new beer they just released called Bundyliscious, it's a Red Ale beer, I found it had tones of a Port, it was 8.5% so if drinking a few makes sure you have transport home. If you enjoy a port, check it out as something different. Also enjoyed their Sours.

My favourite place for Saturday afternoon drinks. Al and all the staff are awesome. The Gingerhol is the best when I can get it. It is so delicious and popular it sells out way too quick.

Coming down from Brisbane to visit the mother in law and knowing there's not much to offer by way of breweries we were very excited to find out about black duck. A little concerned that they didn't do lunch their *nibbles* menu was more than enough. The ploughman's was generous and delicious and the dukka with oil was scrumptious. They really do take to heart "live local" . I was amazed by their prices too, they really should be charging more for the quality that they give. Next time we're down we'll be going over and waddling home. Thank you black duck!
