Great place to take the dog for a lovely walk and get close to nature and be immersed in his beauty

Really pleasant easy walk. Not busy at all (although it is after a long weekend). Nice remnant vegetation with some huge old gum trees. Wild deer and a reasonable selection of birds seen even for a windy winters day.

Easily missed but plenty of parking by a shady venuw for a picnic or just a break on a longer drive.

The picnic tables aren't great but the Great (Big) Gorge walk which begins at the reserve was lovely. As someone with Rheumatoid Arthritis, who requires a walking stick, it was not too difficult but I had to give up at the ruins as the walk was too long for me. It is beautiful scenery and the trees were amazing along the way. It would be good if they could add one or more extra seats. The current one is too close to the start. Perhaps if they added one at the ruins that would be good.
