Harcourts Beachhouse

We really enjoyed our stay at McCracken. The living spaces were perfect for our family, the views and location were wonderful, and everything was clean and well presented with a lovely feel to the place. We appreciated all the extra supplies that were provided. Communication with Harcourts was great and would go through them again for a holiday rental.

I had no problems booking this property in Middleton 2 months prior to staying and would be back in a heartbeat! The communication with Harcourts was great and the house itself was absolutely beautiful! The house had toys for the kids to play with and a high chair so it was like a home away from home. We wish the pool was heated so the kids could’ve used it but they still went waist deep. We had friends over too who are coffee drinkers so a few pods would’ve been nice to have especially since there was a coffee pod machine or even a plunger. The house was immaculate, the beds were comfy and would come back in the summer time. Thank you!

we had a great experience the 2 times we have used Harcourts Beachhouse. Both times our booking request was responded to immediately and within 24 hours the owners had confirmed. They also sent clear communication prior to our trip. And a welcome email on the day of arrival. During our stays we had to contact Harcourts twice and both times they attended to our questions in a friendly and professional manner. We will book through them again. :)

I would have given zero star if I could.

We have booked with Harcourts South Coast for holiday houses for the past few years with no problem. A few weeks ago, I tried to book a holiday with them in Port Elliot in January. I rang and they told me email them (Cameron) but have received no response from him at all. They even lied to me that they would help me. They said they blocked us from booking for January as they were busy with October long weekend. I understand they might be busy with October long weekend and so I waited 3 weeks for their response. When the booking resumed, I submitted a few booking requests for the properties that are available. They told me that the families are using those properties and not available.

I would appreciate if they you can actively help me, instead of forwarding my calls to their message banks, or ignoring me.

My friend has had the same thing happened. They tried to book a place in Victor Harbor and got cancelled later on. And they are now telling friends not to book with Harcourts anymore.

I am so disappointed that Jason and Inge left Harcourts - they were so helpful. So please avoid booking this place.

Very disappointed as I booked a place in Encounter Bay through Harcourts Beachouse on Stayz which was available on the dates we wanted, only to be rejected. Hours after booking we were asked to provide ages and reasoning for wanting to do our holiday there. After providing these details, a day later our booking was cancelled and we were provided with no explanation why. Can't help but believe it was because of our ages (20 and 21) which is unfair and dissapointing. We would've appreciated an explanation at the very least as the accomodation was available on the exact dates we wanted. Now left scrambling for accomodation elsewhere as we didn't expect for it to be rejected.

I recently submitted a booking request for specific dates shown to available on the website. Was subsequently told that the property was not available on those dates, sorry for the inconvenience. There's really no point in having a search function if you aren't going to bother keeping the availability updated - this is just a waste of everyone's time. Also, perhaps following up with an offer to help find something else wouldn't have been a bad strategy?

We tried to book accommodation through Harcourts Beach house via stayz. The particular property in Port Elliot specifically says you receive 20% off winter special when booking between May and July. Just mention winter special. So we booked in May and were advised they weren't doing the winter specials anymore. We asked if they could still do it as it was still advertised and our reply was simply "your booking has been cancelled". Totally rude. They still haven't bothered to remove the special. Everyone should inundate them requesting the winter special 🤣

Extremely poor service. We have tried to book several properties through their website with both available for our dates, only to be rejected with the excuse the owner is using. Well if that is the case the dates should not be available. Very poor of stayz to let this occur on their website also

Questionable practices.

I recently tried booking a holiday house on Hindmarsh Island, when I selected the house for 8 nights it gave me one price when I clicked to confirm the booking the price went up $900. I contacted Harcourts directly and provided screen shots to show them what I was saying. I was met with the smoke and mirrors of yes book directly with us for accuracy but not why there was a price difference. I continued to press and continued to provide additional screenshots and information to show it was a legitimate listing of theirs that still continued to be up days after I told them, it was approved by them but apparently nothing was good enough and they would not honour the price or offer anything not even an apology. I told them my thoughts and that I would find a winter vacation somewhere else with a company that would provide me with great service and treat me with respect rather than an idiot. That was when they wanted to talk about options.

Well I have indeed found somewhere else to spend our money and the property we were going to stay at remains avialable. I am unable to go to far from home for a holiday so I spend a lot of time on the Fleurieu holidaying and taking weekends away I will not ever use this company for ANY rental. If they will treat me with such a I don't care, too bad, your wasting my time, stop being a pest attitude and wouldn't take any responsibility for their error when I am trying to book imagine what they would do if something went wrong. The company I have booked with has been so responsive and friendly its like chalk and cheese.
