Heatherbrae's Pies

Great location with a large variety of pastries and pies. Big fan of the Jilleroo and a custard tart. If your just passing by on your travels or want a day trip out of Sydney. Then I highly recommend the drive.

Once in to the service area, you're greeted with a groovy little set up and counter decorated with a fantastic vintage car to give it a more rustic feel. The drive through is also available for those that are more time sensitive.

Lastly the staff are super friendly and are always willing to give you their recommendations and favourites. So don't shy away from trying something different as there is pie, quiche or dessert for everyone!

Real pies done right. The pastry is incredible. I tried the beef with bacon and mushroom. Delicious. Just note the filling was really hot and best to wait a bit before taking a bite unless you're super hungry which these pies and atmosphere will make you. Complimentary tomato sauce is a bonus.

I also took home a couple of blueberry apple pies. Best I've tasted. That's after having it the next day. Testament to the freshness of their pies.

For the tesla drivers there's a new supercharger station next door.

One of the best pies I've had, worth the drive. We had Bushman's, Pepper Steak and Chicken Curry. All were savoury, delicious and filling.
Just note that there's an extra 10 cents for tomato sauce.

This is a fancy pie shop. Spacious clean dining areas; well presented servery, easy to understand menu, courteous staff, good parking.
Disability and kid friendly.
But it is more or less just pies. I did not see any great ways of serving a pie lunch - pie and salad; pie floater.
My pepper steak pie was delicious; but the lingering after taste of fat in the pastry, then excessive salty feeling in all taste buds, made me remember why I seldom buy pies.
For me, this is a once every one or two years stop [Maccas is a once every 5-10 years]

Gorgeous little bakery with homemade Australian pies! Vegetarian and vegan options available. Spinach and cheese pastry or red lentil curry pie which are both delicious. You don't have to pay for sauce! There are toilets on the premises and there are plenty of seats inside and outside for eating. There is also a drive through if you don't want to stop to eat. Great stop over on the Hume!

Great service, tasty well made pies and sausage rolls and the coffee is barrister quality !! Great stop over location. Highly recommended.

A nice place to get yourself meat pie and some other variations of pies.
The staff are friendly and there are plenty of parking spots as well as seating.

Early morning visit on the way to Canberra, nice atmosphere, plenty of pies, sausages rolls and other goodies.
Great stop to stretch your legs while charging at the Tesla Supercharger.

What a great place to take a break from the highway. Delish crusty pies. Quick and cheerful service and great choice of eats.
Keep an eye out for the old ute at the counter.
The kids loved their Shepherds pies and my steak and mushroom was fabulous as well.

The kids said the potatoe pies had been in the heater for a while and the bottoms had dried out a little. But I think they had just eaten everything so fast they were full.

The facilities were all clean and although it was busy it was still a relaxed experience.

Fantastic pies and well worth the stop. We had the curry chicken pie, Shepard's pie and garden quiche. All were great and tasted fresh. The pies had a good amount of chicken and lamb and well seasoned while the quiche was nice and fluffy. The chips were crinkled cut style, cooked fresh with a liberal amount of chicken salt (went back for a second serve). To top it off, the coffee was well made from quality beans and the customer service to match! Great experience all round!

Heatherbrae is a must for a break on the Hume Hwy. Excellent pastries, great coffee and friendly people! It’s always fun seeing the FJ Ute!

Terrific bakery chain with very credible edibles! All your favourite Aussie bakery items such as Vanilla Slice and Apple Pies along with a big selection of gourmet pies.
Good coffee as well.

Yum. Award winning pies, both savoury and sweet. I had their chicken curry pie. Delicious. The apple and berry pie is out of this world finger licking good with tons of flavour and juicy moist filling. Our go to stopover when passing by. You won't be disappointed.

After always stopping at McDonald's for years we thought we'd give the pies a go and boy had we been missing out. Pepper steak is tender and the sausage rolls very tasty. Highly recommend.

We stopped at Heatherbrae's Pies while driving from Sydney to Melbourne. We tried their custard tart and cream filled donuts. Delicious!! The custard tart was cold and light, which was exactly what we needed on a summer day. The cream filled donut was very fresh and had crispy bits that tasted delicious!! Definitely recommend trying both!

Excellent donuts with cream and jam, delicious spinach and cheese rolls and yummy mushroom pies. We have made this a staple of our roadtrips.

I always stop by to this wonderful pie place, me being a vegetarian I always find my good options there of ricotta and spinach rolls and wonderful coffee and for my sweet tooth I always get caramel tart. Awesome staff and great bunch of people behind the counter from cash to baking.

It was fine. Eh. It is what it is right? To me, nothing they do is the best despite the range. But it's still good enough for a stop. Was clean enough and staff were polite and friendly

Just had a delicious iced coffee with thick cream and ice cream. I was very surprised as I am quite picky with my iced coffee. Very young team as well, but incredibly well trained and professional. I wish I was half as good as they are when I was their age.

Lovely people. Nice stop from Sydney. Sausage rolls the best (smallish, so you may need more). Pies great, real and varied. Available family pies and plenty of sweets, slices, and cakes. Great job.
