Canyonleigh Retreat

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Canyonleigh Retreat for our wedding anniversary. Kush was a magnificent host and the food was divine - the bulk of which was made from fresh produce from the garden.
We had a fabulous in-room massage by Julie and watched a gorgeous sunset on our balcony. We highly recommend this place as it’s a relaxing, organic paradise. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Honestly can't rate this place high enough. The private terrace set up is amazing, and all you smell is the surrounding flowers. The vege garden gives me envy, and Kush the host kindly gave us tarts to try from the fresh produce. It is so beautiful and relaxing. Really lucky with the time of year and the butterfly on the track walk. Want to come back.

We had an amazing time at Canyonleigh Retreat. Kush was an amazing host and very accommodating - she let us go straight to our warm room and allowed us to check in the next day as we were arriving late which was very nice. The trail ride was a great experience and good value. The highlight was definitely the food - we had the burger and pasta and it was some of the best food we’ve had in a long time. Overall my partner had a great and relaxing birthday here. We will certainly be back!

A very relaxed and enjoyable weekend stay with the CR menu adapted/ tailored by our host, Kush, on request providing some really healthy but tasty (home grown organic produce ) meals like Salmon and herb marinated beef...Nice walking around the Forrest circuit track on site. Plenty of wildlife especially wombats and Kangeroos.

Our stay at Canyonleigh Retreat was welcoming and a very enjoyable experience! We were able to truly relax and enjoy the ambience. The fireplace was an added bonus that brought warmth and coziness to the room. Seasonal breakfast was so delicious - loved the chilli jam!

We appreciated the hospitality that Kush and the team provided to us throughout our stay, strongly recommend!

Staying at Canyonleigh Retreat was an absolute delight. The room was quiet and insulated with a massive and comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. Kush was a fantastic host that provided us with delicious breakfast and dinner offerings.

Renting out the e-bikes to go for a ride around the forest on the property is a must-do for anyone with a sense of adventure!

We will definitely be returning to this gorgeous accommodation in the future!

It was such a wondeful weekend getaway with the family. The room was gorgeous and generously spaced. The breakfast was delightful and some packed in a cute little picnic basket. We explored around the retreat and discovered little duck pond, olive farm, organic vegetable garden and so on. The kids loved the little walk and also gave us time to enjoy the precious moments.

Kush the host was so kind and welcoming. Her story of building a sustainable retreat is truly admirable. It was so lovely meeting you and hope to be back with the rest of the family soon.

A great weekend getaway stay for my family. Clean, spacious, and comforting. Away from the bustle of Sydney, a country escape almost an hour and a halves drive. Hot water, campfire, indoor fireplace, new bathrooms, comfy beds, scenery that pictures can't do justice, organic homegrown veggies, kangaroos, ducks... a very relaxing environment, even with kids!

Kush and the kids are a rare treat. I appreciate their hospitality and manners, and easy to contact.

We will visit again!

Breathtakingly beautiful, peaceful, surrounded by forest and lovely vistas. The forest walk ( 6.5km) definitely worth doing. Birds and wildlife lovely. The owners have a massive veggie garden/farm you can tour around.
We were welcomed with blueberry cake.
Accommodation excellent huge king bed, seated area to relax in and outside area too. Your own log burner in room which pumps out a lot of heat!
Highly recommend this and a romantic place for two.

Kush was a lovely host. She was so hospitable whilst giving us our space. The rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable and the property is lovely to walk around. We would recommend Canyonleigh and will be back.

When I was driving there I was beginning to think, this place is a bit hard to find and in the middle of nowhere. However, after a quick call to Kush the host all was good. To save yourself some trouble. When Google tells t you that you have arrived, keep going another 300meters or so and look for the ref roof building on a huge block.
Kush was very welcoming after we arrived. There were 2 cats which my 10yr old loved. She also loved walking around the farm and the bonfire on the Saturday night.
We enjoyed a breakfast the next day, which to be honest I would have preferred if it had vegetables and eggs only as the bacon wasnt crispy. Which I'm sure if I had requested the lovely host would have accommodated but my mistake.
The room was spacious, only improvement would be some blackout curtains for sleeping in. The bathroom was clean. And there's thoughtful little touches such as boardgames and welcome cake.
We look forward to another stay in the future perhaps with some friends. But we did have a nice chat to the other guests at night over the bonfire.

We’ve just spent a beautiful night in the most beautiful place. Kush is a kind and welcoming host. The extensive grounds are impressive - their produce gardens and vast and interesting. The room was spotless, the cheese platter was delicious. Only good things to say about this place. Spotted some kangaroos and native parrots. About to head off for a trail ride. If you want to go somewhere out of the way for supreme relaxation, come and visit Canyonleigh Retreat.

This is the most beautiful tranquil place❤we had the sunset room and even though the wind was up 😞the lightning and stars were amazing? And the fireplace made everything better 👍30 min to Bowral if you want to go ? but our host was amazing and her home cooking with organic food and her little touches popping in some pumpkin scones just made with the homemade jam and cream

Perfect place, the rooms, the entire property, the forest, the veggies, the newly picked berries, and fresh jams. Hire an e-bike early morning, order a breakfast hamper, watch the sunrise/sunset, listen to the sounds, play with the cats. Open fire, endless stars and a glass of wine to end the day. Kush is such a lovely host, a beautiful person. We had the best time. Thank you

Amazing place to get away!, peaceful, fresh air. Kush is a lovely host and very kind. We went there for my son's birthday with family of 7 people late Jan 2023. Rooms were comfortable and clean, I had a really good sleep. We ordered a platter for afternoon, dinner and breakfast. All foods were so delicious and fresh. Cakes and fresh fruits were yummy.
We had wonderful time and cannot wait to go back there again to stay and eat!!. Thank you so much Kush for creating this place for us to enjoy.

What a beautiful place to stay! A country retreat, peaceful and quiet...We stayed last night whilst in the Southern Highlands for the day. It was the perfect place to stay after a busy day, to unwind and relax. We chose the Sunset Suite with it's private balcony and outdoor couch, to watch the sunset over the orchards. The large suite has everything you need and the bed has luxury bedding for the best sleep! Thank you to Kush, the host, for making our stay so comfortable and relaxing. We will be back next time we are down south.

We stayed at the Sunset Suite with Balcony and it was beautiful. The rooms are modern and clean with comfy beds and nice facilities. Kush is very welcoming and will make you feel at home.

The views and garden are wonderful. There is even a walking track and a forest to enjoy in their backyard. Everything here is organically grown. At night you can settle around a bonfire, relax and enjoy the night sky.

A true hidden gem in the Southern Highlands. Thankyou Kush and we look forward to coming back again in the future.

Thank you Kush for being such an awesome host. The walks every morning in the forest was so good. Waking up every morning and getting our breakfasts as room service, was simply amazing! And not even mentioning the cheese platter. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Owner Kush was beautiful from the first moment we met her so hospitableable, her blueberry yoghurt cake on arrival is to due for, making sure we were so comfortable, the food was delicious, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable.. if you want a place where you can totally relax, peacefull at night, this is the place to go. We will definitely be going back

I had a lovely stay at Canyonleigh Retreat. Kush was so accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a firepit at night and a fireplace inside the room which was amazing.
