This is a special place to camp. Its close proximity to Bundaberg, Baraga, Burnett Heads and Gin Gin make it an awesome place to camp without being jammed in close to other campers. It is full of character with friendly DroughtMaster cows, wallabys and birds. Peter, the host is extremly helpfull. Toilets and showers are impeccably clean and well maintained. The camping area grass is well mown. The river frontage is approximately 1.5 KM long with numerous places to camp without being close to other campers. Definately a great hidden gem so close to other areas of interest.

We enjoyed our stayed in the cosy lovely place. And the host went out of his way to ensure our late arrival and stay was comfortable and relaxing...and it was more then we expected.
I would highly recommend this site, and would definitely visit again.

Awesome place, great people.. clean hot shower and clean toilets. Great flat grassy sites, plenty of space and sites to choose from. So peaceful, loved it.. didn't want to leave...will definitely be back again and again... we even caught fish... PS...Don't forget the Aerogaurd

Kolan River Retreat what a great place stayed four days easy access to boat ramp green grass to camp on showers toilets, water on power beautiful gentle cows,wallabies, heaps of bats. Good fishing heaps of mud crab Peter the owner is a perfect host
