Gilbert Wines - Mount Barker WA

What a beautiful brunch & our lovely hosts were soooo accommodating without a booking.
We had a fab cheese platter, yummy scones & delicious 3Devils Shiraz.
We are NEW locals & feel very welcomed to the area 🙏

Fabulous platter for lunch on a random Friday. 3 Devils was great - both the wines and the eldest devil 🤣. Such friendly service and the tastings had great selection. Highly recommend

Saige served us very politely and quickly. Hot chocolates were good and the brownie was amazing. Definitely coming back here again.

We loved our visit to Gilbert’s. The young girl who did our wine tasting was the best. Only new to the business but what a beautiful personality. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here

I always stop here when I make it down to mt Barker to purchase some of their amazing wines, but yesterday was the first time I have stopped for lunch as well. It was fantastic. A perfect winter menu with some hearty, delicious food to keep us warm and happy.
And as always the wine is amazing. The rose and reserve Shiraz are my favourites.

It's a must stop spot in my opinion. And If you can't just order a selection of wine online. You won't be disappointed

Great wines, especially rieslings and reserve shiraz, enjoyed with a good and varied charcuterie plate once again with great local olive bread from the Mount Barker bakery. Warm welcome from and we'll looked after by Clinton 👍👍

On a recent trip to the area we visited on a quiet Monday for lunch - Clinton offered the best cellar door experience of all our Great Southern venues that we visited. His knowledge and enthusiasm to discuss the history of their family winery is great, and that's exactly why cellar door visits are so important to the local wine industry. Highly recommend the '19 Cabernet and their excellent Rieslings. Nice food too!

We had lunch at Gilbert’s last Friday. The food was delicious and of course the wine (3 Devils Chardonnay) has always been one of my favorites. Also the service was amazing. A lovely venue with a great vibe.

We were looking for somewhere to lunch and had Gilbert's recommended by locals in the Porongarups. Almost didn't do the extra 15 minute drive north of Mt Barker. But the five of us were very delighted by the wines and the lovely tasting board of local products. Thoroughly recommend stopping off for lunch there, do some wine tasting and head off with a couple of wines under your arm.

The 2021 Rose is spectacular.
Just had to start with that.
The staff are friendly and helpful, patient and easy going for us tasting novices.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere in the cellar door, heated on such a cold say by the fire place.
Make the trip out to Gilbert Wines, a brilliant range showcasing what the region is known for.

A really friendly welcome in this family owned winery. We really loved tasting all the wines and enjoyed a delicious platter featuring one of the best chicken terrines (home made) we have ever had.
