Fantastic wines! Everything we tasted in the wine tasting was amazing. Peter looked after us, he’s very warm & personable. He had a great knowledge of wine, and taught us a lot. The property was beautiful. A really great vibe, we had the best time

We held our engagement party at Mortimer's and the process from start to finish was fantastic. Daniel went above and beyond, replying to emails quickly and liaising with other vendors to ensure the day went off without a hitch.
All our guests were raving about the venue, especially those that had travelled. We had lovely sunny weather but we had a wet weather plan from the beginning thanks to Dan, taking away any concerns that may have arisen.
It was an all round beautiful event and the local wines were the cherry on top - especially the sparkling!

Such a lovely experience Daniel was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot as well as being very accommodating. Also such a beautiful venue and we will definitely be coming again!

Had the best time at Mortimer's Wines today! Peter and Daniel are very welcoming and took such great care of us during the tasting; explaining all of the wines in detail. The wines themselves - divine. Especially the 2021 Jules! Had a laugh and enjoyed the sunset in the beautiful outdoor area. A highlight of our Orange trip and highly recommended!

We booked a wine tasting for a family trip to Orange. Mortimers caters for families in the best way they have a big open area and play equipment for the kids.

We met Peter, who is a legend of our footy club, The Bulldogs, and were lucky enough to spend a good amount of time talking to him about our clubs future, while tasting his exquisite wines.

Unfortunately we didn't vook to watch the NRL grand final there that night, which was going to be screened on a huge screen with special guest commentators on the night.
We will just have to go back!!

Lovely cellar door with wonderful wine. One of our favourite cellar doors in Orange. We have visited a few times and the staff are always a delight. They are super dog friendly and were very kind to my family and 92 yo grandma when we visited this weekend.

My beautiful wife and mother in laws first stop in Orange. Peter our host and owner treated us as if we were family. We enjoyed our tasting and loved sharing stories with Peter. We especially loved the story of Jules and the label.

Thank you Peter for an awesome experience and your time we had so much fun. For people who are coming to Orange to taste wine, this place is highly recommended.

Awesome and well balanced reds - if you ever go for a tasting, I highly recommend their merlot, cabernet sauvignon, and most of all, their twin series shiraz’s (they’re absolutely to die for). The service was impeccable. The highlight for me was meeting Dan though, it made an Eels tragic’s day!

The location, the service and the wines are outstanding. We can highly recommend Mortimer Wines Cellar Door as a must see when visiting Orange and we are already looking forward to returning soon. Their Member's Club is excellent with quality and satisfaction assured. Established in the mid nineties, Mortimer Wines is a young winery but is already making exceptional award winning wines. Peter and Julie, their family and staff are all Top Shelf.

An amazing experience. From the moment we arrived we new it was going to be a wonderful afternoon. Peter made us feel like family and took the time to share information about the wine, history and the family connection to their delicious wines. After the tasting we had a beautiful picnic lunch and enjoyed their Merlot. We had such a wonderful experience that we canceled the rest of our afternoon and just sat in the sun. Peter and his staff are so kind and made us feel so welcome. As for the wine …. We loved everything and you can taste the love and passion in every sip. Highly recommended. Do yourself a favour and make sure you visit Mortimer’s when you are in Orange.

Mortimers Wines has been an absolute highlight of my Orange Trip. The customer service is top notch only to be topped by the wine! Jules 2021 was the winner for me. Special shout-out to Peter and Daniel for the laughs and the excellent chitchat. Definitely make this a priority.

Hands down THE BEST WINERY in Orange. Had such a special experience today. Both Casey and Peter Mortimer himself were so generous with their time, Peter even sat down with us and shared amazing conversation and personal stories of how his winery came to be and what the wines meant (please try the Jules - it was dedicated to his wife, bless)!!

They are both super down to earth, kind and humble people who have nothing but passion for their wines. Not to mention, the wines were fantastic!! I could not pick a favourite.

We sat by the fireplace and could not believe 4 hours had passed. Thank you so much Peter & Casey - you have made Orange our favourite wine destination in Australia. Will be back for more conversations and for Daniel’s wine school soon! ;) Please take care.

Arriving in the early afternoon, Mortimer’s winery provided the perfect opportunity for our conference attendees to network and enjoy a perfect afternoon in the Orange winter sun. The welcome was excellent the staff phenomenal and the wine superb. The ambiance of the winery provided a fitting end for our conference delegates to stop reflect and recharge. The venue easily supported our 80+ guess that included families with children. The playground proved a hit while the gorgeous fire pits provided a warmth and atmosphere fitting to the rural focus of our event. I am sure to return, as are many of our delegates. The selection, presentation and taste of their wines is a great reflection of the incredible wine of the Orange region. Thank you to the Mortimer family Robbie’s vocals and music provided next level ambiance. A must if visiting the region and an excellent function location. Well done see you again soon

We had a lovely experience and were warmly greeted by Peter who happily seated us at short notice and looked after us so well, being very friendly and informative about each wine we were tasting.
The tasting sizes were generous and we were impressed with the exceptional wines they had to offer.
The atmosphere was beautiful, set in an old school ground with lovely, rustic views which included a great children's play area.
We didn't feel pressured with time or to make purchases but the wine sold itself and we happily brought a large variety to take home.
We will definitely be back.

Highly recommend hosting an event at Mortimers. We held an end of conference lunch at Mortimers for approximately 70 people. The lead up to the day was seamless, and they provided us with great advice around beverages, Fire pits, music and catering. Robbie Mortimer on guitar was a perfect addition and many of the families in attendance were grateful for the playground facilities for children. The service on the day was exceptional, and we were so thankful to the Mortimer family for their contribution to the success of our event.

I visited Mortimers in February 2023 with my partner and my parents, who were visiting Australia for the first time from the UK. I’d never been to Orange before and our treatment at Mortimers made us never want to leave. The wine was delicious - the Malbec is next level - and the service was incredible. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and just really lovely humans!
While at the winery my parents mentioned they had been trying/wanting to see a kangaroo while in Australia (typical Brits ;)) and Daniel kindly advised them on the best places they could potentially see one, which they did before we left. It made their WHOLE trip.
We’ll 100 per cent go back to Mortimers and recommended that everyone visiting Orange, checks it out.

We went to Mortimers in the late afternoon on Easter Sunday. Not only were they able to accomodate us (a group of 11), but it absolutely the best winery we went to on our trip. Peter was incredible, he was so lovely, welcoming and made us feel at home while we were there. The place is beautiful as well and has a real charm about it. Peter told us some stories and made all of us feel welcome, not only that he was very generous with the tastings and it was very clear he has a strong passion for winemaking. We asked to see if they were doing any food/cheeseboards for the afternoon, and while it seemed they had wrapped up food for the afternoon, they still whipped us up a few without question or any hassle. We would have understood completely if they couldn’t have done it but the customer service was just so great. The real cherry on top, of course, were the wines. It was an incredibly consistent range, I rarely go to a winery where I love so many wines (and I wasn’t alone in thinking this - our whole group did as well!). Peter went above and beyond, I will absolutely be back for our next trip to Orange and can’t recommend enough that you would too.
