LE MAS BAROSSA

Staying at Le Mas Barossa was exceptional. The French inspired boutique premises had us dreaming of Paris in the Barossa, the little touches noticeable. The Hermes bathroom products, great coffee in your room, refreshments on arrival and hand made chocolate with your night service, the room, the divine bathtub inviting you to spend time in it, the French inspired antiques throughout the property, the stunning light fixtures, the comfortable bed and cushions, the electric bikes to tour the wineries. Then there's the French inspired breakfast overlooking the glorious gardens, everything made on the premises with the finest of products. The pastries exquisite, and the mineral pool adding the final touches to our stay. Someone has gone to a lot of effort to ensure perfection. Thank you Geraldine for being the most welcoming host and sharing your beautiful property with us.

It’s hard to sum up exactly the right words to describe Le Mas as well as hosts Geraldine and Marie-France. A singular exemplary experience bathed in tasteful old world French charm across experiences might be my rather esoteric attempt. In short, it was the most magnificent stay and relaxing break. From the decor and classic opulence of the French styling to the magnificent food and drink offered, it was time we will not easily forget. The grounds are stunning too. From the rabbits as you drive in to the magical glade at the rear of the property. Our hosts were so affable; we enjoyed so much conversation and story sharing.
We couldn’t recommend Le Mas more highly. Coupling the excitement of food and wine in the Barossa with the majesty of Le Mas is the way to enhance any break. Merci!

Le Mas was an wonderful stay. With beautiful decor and grounds, it's one of the most tasteful places I've visited.

The service and food were impeccable. When we first arrived Geraldine asked which types of wine and food we liked. Within 2 hours we were unexpectedly provided with a 3 day itinerary of the best wineries, restaurants and other activities (all vetted by herself) with reservations made on our behalf (including taxis where required), and the option to change anything we liked.

For every moment of our stay Geraldine and her delightful mother Marie-France were warm and attentive without being invasive.

Simply perfect. 11/10.

Le Mas

Having travelled Europe and previously stayed in some incredible accomodation, it is always hard to compare our choices of accomodation here in Australia - especially with such beautiful landscapes and wine regions. However, having been strongly recommended by friends as ‘the closest thing to staying in a French vineyard with world class service’ we booked Le Mas.

From the moment we arrived and took our bags from the car having previously been in Adelaide, quite wound up, Geraldine the host instantly brought our energy down to ultimate relaxation. We simply felt like royalty being ushered into the sunlit terrace with champagne and cheese… honestly the best French playlist of chillout tunes playing we have ever heard (we have downloaded their playlist from Spotify).

We enjoyed great days out touring the best vineyards of our choice but our favourite time was to bring back amazing wines in the late afternoon and sit on the deck with the incredible cheese plates and service from Geraldine !

The most important thing not to miss is dinner at Le Mas! Transported to France we had the most incredible dinner, enjoying only the best wine and designed by the family, honestly if you love cosy French luxury; this IS IT. Meeting the matriarch of the house and head chef will take you to France in 30 seconds - an experience you’ll need to discover yourself.

The rooms are simply beautiful, if you appreciate luxury fittings and fixtures then this is will certainly not disappoint. In our room we woke up to the most exquisite view of the vineyards and a beautiful little cottage that truly looked like we could be anywhere in French countryside. I would definitely book a room with a freestanding bath (get in early) as we spent lots of time relaxing and drinking wine here while staring at the vineyards out the window! Simply amazing.

It’s hard to not speak of the electric bikes, heated pool, birds landing on the lawn to be fed at sunset and the best smelling candles we have ever experienced! However, Le Mas is much more than that.

Simply put…. If this isn’t on your Australian luxury adventure list than you are missing out on something beyond incredible. BOOK NOW.

What an absolutely wonderful experience. Geraldine and Marie-France were just the most attentive and customer focused hosts. Nothing was too much, the décor and rooms were perfectly designed and well worth the experience. I would recommend Le Mas for any couple wanting time away from the rat race and to live a weekend in a French inspired Manor House. 5 stars just isn't enough.

If I could give this 10 stars I would. Outstanding establishment! Geraldine was a superb host and if you want to do Barossa this is the only place to stay! Thanks for making our stay truly fantastic

Le Mas is a luxurious French Provencal country farmhouse experience in SA's Barossa Valley. The setting is fairytale - rolling grass to the river at the property's edge - owned and managed with links back to France and the owner's mum's actual former home which has been completely gutted and expanded into a no frills spared country guest house completed only in November 2019 and then hit with closure due to Covid.

It's open now and my wife and I had a lovely visit. Mme Marie-France is on hand to oversee operations - the "hotel" is managed by an experience young lady also from France. This is a one of a kind accommodation in Australia - book ahead - there are only 4 rooms. Great location too - Jacobs Creek & St Hugo are virtually next door.

Two words properly describe Le Mas Barossa.... simply perfect! The setting is relaxing with its country French architecture and manicured grounds. Every detail has been thought of from the flower bouquets, background music, linens,

Luellen, Geraldine and Marie are amazing hosts who go out of their way to make you feel at home.

From the moment we walked in, we were greated like family - above and beyond hospitality perfectly balanced with discretion and privacy. We felt felt no pressure or timeline in regards to the complementary charcuterie board (accommodation package) and the ample morning breakfast.

The renovations and restoration of the property are second to none with truely French inspired attention to detail. The sunny balcony to the shady gum tree grotto at the rear of the property were a perfect way to relax and unwind with a glass of house produced vino.

The rooms were beyond comfortable - the bed deluxe and devine, the bathroom luxurious and grand.

We cannot wait to go back and adventure out on the complimentary electric bicycles for another gander through the multiple Barossa vineyards (several only a short pedal away).

Thank you again for having us. Your hospitality has established a new norm for us.

Geraldine and Marie-France , thank you for your gracious hospitality. We found a little piece of France here in Australia when overseas travel is no longer an option.

The accomodation was perfect for a holiday shared with family. The private rooms were well appointed, comfortable and styled so beautifully. The shared spaces were just as special.

Every minor detail has been thought of, the unique decorations thoughtfully placed throughout the property, right down to the music played in the Orangerie.

The accomodation was perfect but what sets it apart is the personalised experience that only a family run business can provide.
