A lovely little walk. Takes about 30min but takes longer if you like to stop for photos. Slight incline and decline which is easy for the able bodied but avoid if you have a pram or walker. Well spaced resting areas to sit. Bring a jacket, it is cold in the depth of the ferns. Beautiful old trees and ferns. A classic Jurassic Park forest. Very peaceful.

What a remarkable place! The peaceful beauty envelops you as soon as you leave the car. This remnant cool rainforest is being preserved thanks to National Parks and lots of volunteers I suspect. Paths are well set out so we walked in safety without damaging sensitive areas. Those steel mesh walkways in the low areas are amazing. Definitely recommend stopping for a half hour or an hour to soak up some natural serenity. Roger F

A really beautiful walk with huge ancient trees. We felt like we were in an oxygen tank because the air was so fresh. The walk is nicely maintained and I love the way they created areas to sit back and look up into the trees and enjoy a peaceful moment.

It's not a very long walk but we really took our time enjoying nature.

Such a beautiful, serene and atmospheric nature trail! I loved listening to the sounds of the birds and the creek as I walked through the moody trees!

Though we visited on a warm day, the temperature was quite cool here due to the shadiness of the trees and evapotranspiration.

Suitable for beginners. The trail is mostly flat with a few slopes. It took us 15-20 minutes to complete it at a leisurely pace (not a long trail at all).

Ample parking available.

About half way between Melbourne and 12 Apostles, this is a perfect stop to stretch your legs and have a wonderful hike in nature. Free to access, there are quite enough parking spots. The hike is a little under one kilometre and does not require any special gear, basically a walk in the park. Huge trees all around and lots of typical Australian vegetation. Didn't see much wildlife except some birds but the watch for meat eating snails not to step on.
If you take The Great Ocean Road don't miss this stop.

Great chill walk. Great place to go for a relaxing half hour walk. Great wildlife and great trees. Quite detailed signs also showed what we were able to see.

The track we thought were kept well, without any fail in the tracks.

The walk was quite interesting as we were able to see different wildlife.

Such a nice walk through the rainforest. Beautiful trees and ferns everywhere. Such tall amazing trees. Nice short walk with stopping points for viewing trees. No toilets at location. 10 out of 10 spot for rainforest visit in the middle of the forest drive. Definitely worth a stop on your way.

A worthwhile stop in Apollo bay to stretch the legs while travelling on the Great Ocean Road. A beautiful and easy walk for all abilities and stunning photo opportunities!

Visited in the morning at 11am. It was perfect and there are printed fun facts at multiple spots that provide interesting facts of certain plants and trees.
The walk wasn’t particularly difficult but may be a challenge for those with kids and elderly. The ground can be slippery at certain times when wet. And if it rains there is not much shelter so do check the weather before you go.

Comfortable walk up a well made track. Terrific views over Apollo Bay and the surrounding area. Limited parking at the base of the track.

How amazing is this walk in such an ancient forest. I felt so grateful to be amongst it. Loved the 200 year old Myrtle Beech tree. Such a beautiful giant. So beautifully preserved and the walking track is stunning! I was very fortunate to see an endangered Otway Black Snail. 🐌✨🌿
The serenity is completely unreal!!!! An absolute MUST DO WALK💕

Nice rainforest trail. Easy walking. Cooling weather and nice air. A bit slippery especially some portions were muddy. Lot of very old and tall trees. We spend about 20 minutes. 5 stars

What a great place to break up your drive. It's only a 800m loop trail, but you feel fully immersed in the forest. Most people would have no trouble negotiating the track, myself with arthritic knees and a little extra weight. I found it more difficult but still made it round and enjoyed it.

An excellent 1.3km walk through a stunningly beautiful ancient forest with 100m high Ash trees, huge ferns and the famous 200 year old triple tree!

A well maintained gravel and metal grid walkways means you don't need walking boots (it's totally dry underfoot with zero mud the whole way around).

The steepest part starts 50m after you leave the carpark (down to the left) and only lasts 50m. If you can manage the first 100m you'll be fine the whole way.

Don't let little kids run ahead. There are some high platforms (up to 4m) most with good protection but there are some places little ones could launch from!

Length is 1.3Km according to GPS watch.
