Radars Retreat

Radar's Retreat is fantastic! My friend and I found this gem on the Yorke Peninsula. It's so spacious and clean and the kitchen has every utensil you could imagine! We got the whole ground floor plus a huge breezeway with a barbecue area and mini golf course to play in. we could also use the upstairs balcony as a shared space. There's plenty of places to relax and chill plus lots of active things to do as well. The beach is just a 5 min walk away but we could also borrow the bikes to ride down there. It's the first time we tried hosted accommodation and we loved it. Lindsay is a wonderful host and helped us make the most of our stay - we even tried raking for crabs and kayaking! Plus we got to know Sonar - the world's cutest boat dog. Sunrises are breathtaking and the air is so clean. We felt fabulous and invigorated after staying here and we'll definitely be coming back again. Thanks for a great stay! :)

Watching the lights of Adelaide twinkling across the gulf while enjoying the night time breezes from the balcony, reminded us how close - but far we were from the city. Time takes on another dimension at Radars Retreat, since arriving that morning we had fished from the kayaks, walked along the peaceful serene beach, caught crabs in the shallows and enjoyed our host, Lindsay's company as he showed us how to catch, prepare and eat delicious crustaceans. Enjoying the fresh air and the beach environment we felt relaxed and that we had been away for days. We will definitely go back to Radars Retreat to recharge, relax and enjoy that special part of the world.

I took my twin daughters to Radars Retreat for a bit of an adventure.
We were in luck due to the fact that the accomodation that we had has every fishing / crabbing device known to man and Lindsay our host even took us out in the boat for a bit of crabbing. The girls will never forget that day.
Lindsay was an awsome host and the unit is spotless and modern.
We were there on the hottest day in Adelaides history an the temp got upto 46-47 degrees and the unit was cool and comfortable.

We had such a great holiday at Radar's Retreat. From the very start Lindsay made sure we had everything we could need.. and more. A nice open, cool space with all the mod cons. The crabbing trips in the boat and the use of the kyaks were great for the kids, along with the golf in the backyard.

The optional use of the balcony upstairs was a nice spot to enjoy a drink in the evening. Overall, a great stay with welcoming hospitality.

Loved every minute of our stay - Lindsay went above and beyond, he took us on on the big boat crabbing and fishing, showed us how to find crabs when the tide was out and then guided me through the cooking process. We spend a full day at the pier fishing and crabbing only because we had been show how to by Lindsay(we would have skipped it otherwise). The house is really cool and so relaxing, theirs plenty of dvd's to watch on the big TV - without a doubt one of the best holidays we've had in the last 5 years. Thank you to Lindsay and Sonar(the friendly dog).

The whole family enjoyed our time at Radar's Retreat. The apartment had everything we needed, and the equipment provided was outstanding. Kayaks and all the fishing and crabbing gear was provided. Everything was clean and well maintained. We all appreciated the expert fishing advice and caught as many fish and crabs as we wanted. We also had help with cooking and cleaning! It was a great holiday for my sons, who learned a lot about crabbing and dabbing for gar. We're all looking forward to going back.

Lindsay took me out fishing and crabbing on the big boat great time and his knowledge of not just out on the water but about the surrounding area and what to see makes the holiday complete
Siting up stairs at the end of the day you could not wish for a better holiday
The accommodation is very flash and clean with everything you could want to make your stay a holiday to remember
Definitely will be back again
