Stopped for a wine tasting and a stroll through the property, stayed for the wonderful high tea. Beautiful knick knacks for purchase plus local produce. The owners were very hospitable and the chateau decorated beautifully throughout. Definitely worth a stop in.

What a delightful place to share a birthday high tea. Lovely surroundings, beautiful food and amazing ambience. The people serving were just lovely. Gift shop amazing and classy.
It was just a day trip for us, but would be a great place to stay.

Highly recommend this experience for a special occasion! Thank you

PERFECTION
This cellar door & café know how to treat their visitors to perfection, nothing can be faulted, the morning tea scones jam & cream, and the lunch platter after our walk around the beautiful property were delicious.
There is an amazing collection of artworks, china & antiques on display in a large dedicated space. At the entry is a gift shop with a large selection of beautiful items.
The owners are happy to chat with guests about the history of this incredible property.
A visit highly recommended.

First visit with friends to enjoy a high tea luncheon. Excellent meal, service and friendliness. More than just a high tea, lots of homewares, clothing, jewellery etc for sale. Highly recommend it.

Barossa Chateau makes the best sparkling white wine I have ever tasted. I would take this over Mumm or Möet any day. And their Rosé is light and fresh and very refreshing. The high tea is beautiful and the gardens are beautiful with that fresh country air I miss. Highly recommend.

Visited Barossa Chateau for High Tea. The elegance of tableware was excellent. The savoury serve was good, I'm a bit picky eater but most of the selection I did enjoy. The sweet serve was very good, I would say excellent if the scones were not so tough and dry. I really can't complain tho. There was a choice of 2 non alcoholic beverages if the wine/champagne was not an option. Others enjoyed the choice of champagne/wine. Beautiful setting, building. The gift shop is wonderful, expensive though but good quality of goods sold. Highly recommend.

Lovely location, very friendly and helpful staff. Had high tea there. Lovely food and desserts. Glass of wine to start, water and lovely pot of earl grey tea.
Savoury food sandwiches with egg, chicken, cheese, and chutney. Quiche, arancini ball and something else in pastry case, cucumber with truffle oil. All very nice. Dessert was macaroon salted caramel, scone, lamington, chocolate coated profiterole, lemon sponge cake not quite sure, but it was all very delicious and filling.
Had a look around in the shop, beautiful gift ideas, paintings, cards, clothes, handbags, wine and the list goes on. Definitely worth the drive to have a look and something to eat.

I really enjoyed my day.

We started the day with scones and tea/coffee which was very nice and soft.
We then went on to do the tour which i suppose was more of a short lecture on a few key pieces.
I loved learning more in depth about certain pieces and having the freedom to have a browse at leisure also. I fell in love with Diana Mitchell's art and I will definitely be coming back for her new gallery launch.
We then sat down in the gallery for a platter and glass of wine which was all very nice.
The gardens were still in bloom but as we are coming into autumn the rose petals are starting to fall. That's nature. My roses are doing the same.
We also received the free gift which was small but a nice inclusion.
I can't fault this place. The owners were so friendly and both spoke to us, its nice to see them invested in keeping the estate well. The staff where very polite and engaging. The food was not lunch but very typical winery and was nice and big enough portion for me. We did just open the bottle of 1987 Shiraz.

We had an awesome high tea here following their tour. The staff were excellent and the shop has lots of lovely things. I highly recommend the whole experience. Don't hesitate though as their unique antique collection might soon be sold and there's none like it.

Brilliant day out. Great from start to finish. Devonshire tea was very tasty, scones, dried apricot jam, whipped cream. Delicious 😋 The talk and tour by Mark was very informative. He certainly knows his stuff. The porcelain collection is world class. We can only hope it stays as a collection. All staff were friendly and efficient. The lunch platter was very tasty and plentiful. Thanks Mandy.. We will return..

We had a lovely high tea in this stunning setting. All staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. A great selection of savoury and sweets combined with bubbly and tea or coffee. A lovely rose garden, great gift shop and stunning house to explore.

We went for high tea with the SA tourism voucher. So instead of paying $100, we paid nothing. At $100, I don’t quite feel the value is there, especially being a non drinker. The high tea started with a brief history about the building and some insight into the art pieces. The food was lovely. The little lemon tarts were divine. The whole experience was wonderful. Only criticism I have if that the tea should be tea leaves not tea bags.

Had a lovely day here. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend people to go and see the antiques before they are all sold. Special mention to Mark for his knowledge and passion for the collection.
