So interesting I never knew it existed. Had lunch by the river. There is wood barbecues there also. Beautiful river. Then a 250 metre walk down to the bridge. You can go over it to another barbecue area and walk on to the back of the town. Apparently the pub in town is amazing and when we drove past there was about 40 or 50 cars out the front. That says it all. It's about 10 minutes out of Bright in North east Victoria. The little town is Wandiligong. It's just beautiful. Little rivers flowing all over. A beautiful apple orchard with shop just out of Wandiligong. Beautiful fruit and lovely gift shop.

In the middle of nowhere at Wandiligong 5km from Bright. A meandering stream flows under this very quaint bridge built in 2003 to commemorate the contribution of the Chinese.

A very interesting history posted on this quite beautiful suspension bridge about the Chinese involvement in the Gold rush.

Pretty crossing of Morses Creek. Acknowledging contribution of Chinese to finding gold along this creek in the 1850s.

A little countryside surprise.
You can drive here, good parkin and an easy walk in.
This time of year old shoes or gumboots a must.Lots of history written here in English and Chinese taking you a step back in time.
Been lots of rain and muddy.
Can also ride your bike from Bright and keep going to the lovely 5 acres cafe for yum food.

A little gem in the historic gold rush township where history of Chinese gold miners of bygone era was recorded on the plagues displayed on the rotunda of the bridge

Been there as a kid and now as an adult. Good walking path, bring some runners.

A relaxing short walk from the carpark. A pretty creek goes under the bridge. The wooden bridge is in great condition and wonderful to read its history.

Nice walk to the bridge, but not the easiest to find.

Hard to find but worth the hunt.
Google will take you to the entrance of a private residence off Royal Bridge Track so you have to actually look for the poorly marked signs off of Centenary (near Sangster Road) instead.

When you see the two small signs for Diggins Track and Chinese Bridge turn into the dirt road and follow it to a dirt car park. Walk the path from the 2nd car park to the bridge. About 3 minute walk.

Great place to get away from the touristy vibe of Bright and reflect on the history of the Chinese who occupied this area during the gold rush era. Read the signs to learn about the systemic racism they endured.

Lovely area to walk with information on lesser known (and rather sad) history of the Chinese miners in the area. Beautiful bridge and plenty of places to walk in lush parkland.
