Swan Bay - Edwards Point Wildlife Reserve

I'll admit to being a little disappointed with Swan Bay and for quite an unexpected reason. Nary a swan to be seen! Not one!
There is a suspicious and alarming amount of pelicans, there are the appropriate amount of seagulls and an even a duck.
However, not a single cob, pen or cygnet.
Following in the footsteps of Mad King Ludwig II of Bavaria – (in our top 3 Bavarian kings) we hungered for a simple "Le Menagier de Paris" - a quick google search later and we find that not one purveyor of swan meat can be found trading in Geelong (probably because it's a Sunday) - our only hope?.. Wild game from a local habitat. (You can read about our other exotic culinary adventures in our blog "Legally not allowed within 100m of Werribee zoo anymore")
So a quick trek out to " Swan Bay".
Within a minute of arriving, you, like us, will feel your stomach drop at the realisation that not a solitary long neck delight forms part of the scenery.
A waste of a trip.
The local amenities contains a very cool lever to flush the toilets with though, hence this misnamed hell receiving any stars at all.
Note: upon zooming, I now realize that the photograph of a marshland duck that I uploaded is actually a photograph of a piece of discarded newspaper. Just another disappointment forced upon us by Swan Bay.
