My review is only based on my personal experience.
I had endoscopy procedures done in the hospital today. The whole experience is positive. I waited 2 hours in waiting room. Doctors and nursing team are friendly and respectful. I highly appreciate their professionalism. I have done the same procedures at private hospitals in the past and I would say there is absolutely no difference.
I will choose this hospital again next time.
By the way there are plenty of free parking.

Kilmore Hospital is one of the best hospitals I have ever been to.

It was my first time going there and I had such a lovely experience.

I went in to the urgent care unit as I had a insect bite and had very bad swelling on my arm.

They had to call in a doctor as there wasn't one there at the moment but that was understandable as they were not busy as I was the only one in emergency.

The doctor came in 30 minutes which was fine as I only had slight pain.

Doctor Lawson and Nurse Emily were very friendly and professional. Both admin ladies were lovely too. I also noticed that the hospital was very clean and well presented.

Such a lovely hospital, we are so lucky that we have a hospital close by that isn't busy.

If I went to Epping I'm sure I would have been waiting for hours just to be seen as my situation wasn't urgent.

Thank you staff at Kilmore Hospital ❤

My father was admitted to Palative Care where the staff and doctors looked after him until he passed away.
The care and compassion extended to him and my family was more than I could have asked for.
Medical staff and nurses were fantastic. Thank you to everyone.

CHECK IN

Was a pleasant experience. Lady at the Urgent Care Centre was very polite and welcoming. She took details and ushered me within few minutes for Rapid Antigen Test for possible Covid19 infection.

PREPARATION

A warm nurse escorted me to the area where I changed my dress into hospital gown, prepared and wait in holding bay before being taken to the operation theatre for the procedure.

WONDERFUL NURSES/ HEALTH STAFF

Right from the Admission office all the way to holding bay, journey was smooth. A thank to Stephanie for her cordial help with Preparation stages.

Love the way Wendy was so careful and thorough in her cleaning of the bed, mattress and all equipment with disinfectant wipes after the patients have left. I do pedantic cleaning at home but Wendy's dedication surpasses anyone. She cleaned the whole matress both sides, then metal bed underneath it, and covered the matress with fresh cleaned white sheet and pillow with a new cover. Who can put that much heart and soul into her job. Well done Wendy! It is hard to find the employees that devoted in public health system where everyone cut corners. You are a role model.

Everyone was so nice , coming over to me and asking if I was warm enough, if I had a headache (as they saw me holding my head little down as I waited for the procedure), or if background music was louder. What a wonderful sensitive and empathetic staff.

Jo is another gem of the Kilmore Hospital staff. She is compassionate, thorough, cheerful and keep you happy and alive when either you are waiting for the theatre or you have come out and convalescing.

I forgot the name (staff were masked due to Covid19 protocol so it was hard to identify... smile) of the caring lady who offered me a toasted- cheese bread slice. Where on this Planet you will find that much care.

I have stayed in Knox Private Hospital and paid thousands of dollars for 1 night stay. Not even 1 % closer was the care of this private hospital (sterile, and aloof stlye of the staff), to Kilmore Hospital. Kilmore defies all myths that it has to be a private hospital in order to offer world class patient care. The infrastructure was perfect, bathrooms cleanest (Northern Hospital Epping needs to get some tips from Kilmore Hospital on how to clean former's stinky and unhygienic toilets). I was so impressed at Kilmore Hospital that each piece of medical equipment, such as sphygmomanometer, or thermometer were cleaned individually with wipes. Ruth , you are so good at doing that.

What can say about Dr Tim Duncan the anaesthesiologist! He is an angle. A calm, patient asset to any medical establishment. World perhaps only holding firm because of people like Dr Duncan. He assures you calmly, systematically, and allow you to participate in the discussion about the important decision about your anaesthetic.

Dr Tony D'Souza has a wonderful personal touch and assurance that goes a long way to tell you that you are in safe hands. He is diligent, and precise.

I admire the anaesthesiology nurse's (apologies i forgot your nsme) skilled hands and fingers to insert the cannula without puncturing my veins. You know your work. You are awesome.

My deep and heartiest thanks to ALL para medical, office, and medical staff for offering me a pleasant experience. You are so pure, genuine country folks, and unconditional care and love giving angles. God bless you all.

Kind regards

From the time I walked in to walking out, I was treated with the utmost dignity and respect and care. I can't speak more highly of the dedicated teams at KDH. The last two years of Covid management have been very trying for everyone, but the staff here have been so diligent and helpful I have found every visit I have been able to make to my Mum in aged care has been an absolute delight.
The staff have always been respectful and good-humoured. It is a real pleasure to be connected in a small way with such a wonderful organisation.

There is something very special about a regional hospital that is difficult to put into words - but - it is feeling part of a community - a health community - of amazing staff at all levels of this organisation. Smiles - a standout - every staff member introduces themselves - you feel cared for. It’s a smooth process flow from initial registration for RAT testing, pre-admission, admission, surgery and recovery. I met so many amazing people and without wishing to exclude anyone, Brittany from RAT testing, Monica from pre-admission, the amazing, AMAZING Sophie, Georgia, Dr Hutchel anaesthetist and his two amazing nurses in surgery (being groggy and mask wearing isn’t conducive to recall!). And a kindred spirit - the Toastie Master Wendy! Such a smooth recovery, a nice warm coffee and biscuits ready and waiting, and a buttery cheese toastie! Kinda didn’t want to leave! The staff never rushed you, they were supportive, so very supportive, empathetic. They tick every box on the NSQHS standards checklist. These wonderful nurses, doctors and support staff have worked tirelessly throughout COVID, I thank them all profusely. Not all angels wear wings, they wear scrubs!

The nursing staff were exceptionally attentive and caring and I felt extremely well looked after both pre and post surgery. The hospital is modern and spotless. The surgeons and anaesthetist explained the procedure in detail so I felt in good hands.

Only good things to say about our whole experience. The nurses and anaesthetist went out of their way to make our 3 year old comfortable and keep her as calm as possible, they were all lovely and very helpful.
