The Trawool Estate

We stopped by on our way to Mansfield and were so surprised by the stunning location and incredible architecture and design. There’s so much well preserved history and the manager and bar tender told us all about it!

Jason made sensational cocktails, was super friendly and even took us on a tour of the building. We were amazed and absolutely will return. We left with huge smiles on our faces everyone was so friendly. Definitely a hidden gem

Lovely. I had no expectations going in but was pleasantly surprised in a lot of ways. Staff were tremendous, especially in the restaurant. Rooms had a modern feel to them and were comfortable with everything we needed. There are not a lot of other things within walking distance, but but plenty of activities on site, including:
- pool/spa
- tennis, basketball, netball, squash courts
- bike track (great place as a base for bike ride)
- lawn games provided
- beer garden / bar
- landscaped gardens

We had dinner at Wild Water. Food was good. Service was quick, efficient and staff knowledgeable. It had an up market feel but casual in nature so easy with kids.

Overall we had a great time and can recommend it. Close to Melbourne too.

We had a fantastic stay. The rooms were modern and comfortable, the restaurant and bar food was excellent. There are so many activities to do within Trawool Estate and around the area (especially the rail trail) that we will definately be back. Very interested to try the wood fired pizza in the outdoor area.

Eating at Turbine is a must! 5 course meal and all courses were full of beautiful flavours and delicious! 10 stars to Gaylan whom brought so much energy and could tell he loved his job. We had the most wonderful stay at Trawool Estate over the January holiday period. Unfortunately we had two days of constant rain and we were unable to leave due to Seymour and Yea being on flood watch and evacuated, however the staff were tremendous and very accommodating given the circumstances. We stayed in the Valley rooms which were perfect for our family and the beautiful surroundings made it a delight to be amongst. The kids enjoyed the pool and tennis court and on the wet days the squash court and reading room were nice options. The staff also provided games for the kids on the days we couldn’t leave the Estate and opened up a function room we could utilise for more space. The restaurants were all beautiful too and food quality of a high standard.

The room & bathroom were spacious. The bed was comfortable. Overall the room was clean, but the carpet had several large stains which detracted from the appearance of the room. The five course set menu at the Turbine Restraurant was excellent. Breakfast in the Wild Water restraurant was ala carte, the menu has a good selection of hot & cold food. An added bonus is the great view of the valley. All staff (reception, waiters and bar staff) were excellent. They were all very friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble for them.

My fiancé and I stayed for two nights from Wednesday til Friday and had the best time! Besides being a really pretty and modern estate and so many great facilities, the staff and the food were the highlights. The staff is lovely, accomodating and super passionate and the food in both wild water restaurant and turbine restaurant was outstanding, 10/10, we had such a great and special experience. Surrounded by beautiful and stunning scenery, we will definitely come back.

We had a wonderful 2 days/nights at Trawool. Hotel is lovely and in a peaceful location. Staff were very helpful and our room was perfect in every way.

A beautiful hotel. The rooms were luxurious and food from the bistro delicious. What a great way to start our ride on the Great Victorian Rail Trail.

I can't rate this hotel highly enough! Not only are the furnishings and the surrounds stunning, the customer service interactions I had with every member of staff was exceptional.

Staff are lovely and down-to-earth, the venue is beautiful and has a very luxurious atmosphere/vibe. Delicious fine-dining experience and the drinks are unique and well-made. Great service, location and experience with a mix of modern luxury and country style.

My kid's fever prevented us from realising the trip. Thanks to Nikki's thoughtfulness, the trip has been rescheduled not once, but twice. It's a pleasant stay, including the astounding reading lounge and gorgeous Turbine.

Had the most amazing two night stay rooms were gorgeous service was impeccable. Dinner at Turbine was amazing delicious food and unique cocktails. Looking forward to booking another stay ASAP!

Fantastic couple of nights at Trawool Estate, food was excellent, staff were friendly and attentive. Hotel is not too big with only 27 rooms, a perfect getaway spot, good walking trails, nice pool, squash court and is around 30mins from Mitchelton and Tahbilk wineries which are worth a trip.

Every now and then you stay somewhere that surprises on the up side!

It’s very clean, funky and the staff are polite, friendly and make your stay special.

The food was excellent.

We’ll be returning soon.

Some of the best service you could expect, anywhere’s let alone out in the beautiful countryside where there aren’t so many places.
Me and my partner had an amazing day 4 wheeling and swimming at the tarwool res and running amuck with our beloved pooches.
Afterwards stopping bye the Tarwool estate granite bar. And we honestly couldn’t have been happier.
Especially on New Year’s Day the main man that looked after us was impeccable.
The Beautiful local beers and wines are to die for ! And the food was delicious. 😋
If I could give more then 5 stars I would xxx

Wonderful Easter get away not far from Melbourne.. the perfect weather helped! Lovely food & plenty to see & do for all

A stunningly beautiful estate for a weekend stay. The views from the rooms are breathtaking, and the rooms themselves are luxurious and spacious. We dined at the bar both nights of our stay, and the food was fantastic. This place takes so much pride in everything they do. The staff are friendly and love a chat. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a great weekend here.

My partner and I stayed for a lovely weekend getaway from the city. The accommodation was amazing, stepping out the back door straight onto views of the mountains for picturesque sunrises and sunsets.

There was plenty of dining options with a few restaurants at the estate and a number of bars to choose between.

The pool made for a relaxing afternoon and the entire weekend was only made better by the exemplary service from all the staff.

It was exactly what we needed to reset.

Will definitely be staying again!
