Cumberland Lorne Resort

Giant room, great view, and cockatoos everywhere. It's seconds from the beach and lots of great dining options. It was relatively clean aside from a dirty ceiling fan and a little bit of blood on the wall. Complimentary instant coffee and cookies were charming.

Gorgeous views, lovely friendly local service, self contained apartments great for privacy but also a lovely local community between theore permanent residents. Will definitely return.

Had our overnight stay here. The hotel is located near the beach, shops and restaurants so it's very convenient. It has a game room (wasn't able to try it but will do next time), heated pools that are kid-friendly, jacuzzi, sauna and gym. Great amenities which are good if you want to do some activities in the hotel.

Apartment rooms are spacious enough and good for families. Staff are very friendly and provided excellent service so overall we enjoyed our stay here and will definitely recommend to everyone.

We are so impressed with the service we have received both on previous stays and on this current stay. Heath in reception has been just wonderful, his customer service is flawless and nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are clean and well appointed with clean linnen, comfy beds and plenty of fresh air. We are on the 3rd floor with an unobstructed view of the ocean. We have the kids with us this time 4, 5 and 13 yrs old. There is ample room for them to spead out and the spa bath has been a big hit. Spent some time in the resort pool and spa today, really clean and just big enough to be comfortable. Easy walking distance to the beach, shops, cafes and pub. Thankyou for making our getaway so easy and restful. :)

Highly recommend the Cumberland resort! Location is perfect! Free underground parking was fantastic and we didn’t need the car for the 3 nights as everything is within walking distance, Shops/restaurants/cafes and the beach was across the road.

Cannot speak highly enough of the staff at the resort! Every staff member we came across was genuinely happy to help and no request was too difficult or a bother to them which is very rare these days!

Rooms are very spacious and clean - we had a 2 bedroom apartment. Free internet, full size amenities in bathroom’s which was perfect especially when staying a few nights! We had our own with us as we always take bring them but didn’t need to open/use.

Games room, bbq facilities, indoor pool/spa and baby pool. We went down for a bbq and forgot to bring tongs and were surprised to find they had tong stands and paper towels provided.

This resort has definitely thought about every detail and that’s what makes it stand out from others!

We can’t wait to be back there soon!

Excellent location and value for money.
The Cumberland Lorne Resort is located at the heart of Lorne close to the beach. Great space for the apartment, self contained kitchen and a bathroom with a spa.
There is an indoor pool at the resort and if you need to have a bite a variety of restaurants are located in the main Street below.

Highly recommended.

Great location and the rooms serve the purpose of being in Lorne. They aren't the fanciest of rooms bit have all the required amenities. Worth a stay at the price.

We went to Lorne for our family moon and stayed at the Cumberland for three nights. The apartment was gorgeous not very modern but definitely plenty of space for the three of us. The swimming pool was great and has a really nice shallow pool for our 2 1/2 year old and really nice private green areas for her to wonder. Two tennis courts a squash court and an arcade room for entertainment which we did not partake in but still look like they would be amazing to use. Outdoor bbq area for beautiful sunny days. We did go in winter however so it was tranquil and non-polluted by people noise cars. The birds definitely wanted food and arrived without fail every time we opened the door however we did not feed them as advised and they soon went away. Overall we had a beautiful stay the staff are very friendly and the apartment has everything you need even smart tv to have a lovely movie night in the evenings. If you go check out the cafe up the road called riverbanks cafe, the Indian restaurant called rass leela, Japanese called umisango. Will definitely be going back.

Loved, loved, loved the beach front apartment we stayed in. It was breathtakingly picturesque. Even the spa overlooked the beach. The apartment was spacious. The cooking utensils had variety. The only thing that I would recommend is to get a better skillet/pan. The bed was very comfortable. Easy access within a few minutes to the beach.

Fabulous location! Had a wonderful family short break, loved the indoor pool, spa, games room, tennis courts and squash court. Rooms are roomy and kids loved the cockatoos that greeted them each morning on the balcony. Could not fault.

Great stay!! It's right on the spot of Lone, very close to the beach and all the restaurants. If go up the hills at the back, Teddy's lookout is right there. Our room was spacious and has everything, balcony with a beach view, kitchen, large living with a sofa bed, washing and drying machines, especially the jacuzzi. Free parking undercover so worry free. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Location is brilliant, with easy access to the restaurants downstairs and pub across the road. Very short stroll to the beach, with beautiful views over the beach from the balcony. Room was clean and very comfortable. Heated pool and spa were great for our 2 year old. Stayed for 5 nights and loved every bit of it!

Our stay today never eventuated due to a punctured tyre early on our way so we slowly headed back home (tyre repairers, how about working on Sundays!).

I never thought twice to call the hotel (and yes, i ignored my wife's insistence!) thinking the booking is gone and nothing can be done about it.
Then later in the night i get a call from the hotel asking if we are coming. I explained the situation after which to my greatest and most pleasant surprise they told me to call Expedia to cancel the booking and they'd approve it!!!

They didn't have to do this, but they did it anyway. For this they will always be my first option when traveling to Lorne (plus we've stayed here once already and can confirm it really is fantastic!).

Loved it!! Everything you need for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful spot. Close to resturants. Rooms were clean and apartment had everything we needed plus a gorgeous view. WiFi quality in our room was excellent
