Ellen Frances Hotel-Motel

Had lunch here Melbourne Cup weekend. It was delicious and worth the wait. Local pub with large meals and cold beverages. Couldn’t have asked for more. Very friendly staff who welcomed our dogs inside and through to the large beer garden.

Only visited the hotel, unable to comment on the rooms, Great Little Pub in Vilot Town, stopped by for a meal after completing powerline works, Great meals, we ordered both scotch fillet and parma's, both excellent meals with chips and veg.
Highly recommend, just 1-2min from the Hume fwy.
The pub has an inside bistro and plenty of outdoor seating.
Definitely would go back when I'm in the area.

This is our favourite country pub. They have an awesome menu and everything we have tried has been delicious.

We didn't stay but ate there 3 nights ago. Two large tables of us, ages ranging between 82 and 6 years old, a big group visiting for a wedding. Table service was provided to make it easier for us all and we got to join in on the meat tray raffle! Such fun. My meal, Greek salad was generous and delicious. It included melt in your mouth rare lamb slices. I didn't hear any negative feedback from those near me. I'd definitely return and most likely will as the bride lives in Violet Town!

17/12/2022 I had booked for a large family get together for lunch, prior to Christmas.
Fiona was very helpful, and welcoming, the table was set beautifully, all the meals
were delicious, and served promptly.
What a pleasure to see the hotel brought back to life !!
We'll be back !!

Amazing food- was going to not post this to keep it for myself. Had parmas steak and pork belly. Could not fault any of it. The service is awesome too.

We live in Tamleugh and always eat at the Pub, Fi and Brownie always make your day with their big smiles and excellent service. Meals are lovely, the steak is my husbands favourite. Love the beer garden. Highly recommend for families, groups and couples.

If you haven't been to violet town pub then you are missing out!

I stayed one night and was very glad I did. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and had all of the necessary things - microwave, toaster, kettle, milk, tea/coffee/sugar. Sheets, towels and blankets are spotless.
Air con unit kept things toasty warm and the customer service made me feel welcome. Shops across the road make it very conveniently located. Would visit again.

New owner a few months ago of this lovely small town pub. It has a fresh vibe and the food is great every time! Really good pub meals. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the great Victorian country pubs, Fi will always welcome you with a huge smile. A amazing bar and a great bistro. You really need to reward yourself with a visit to this superb pub.

Perfect place to stay whilst visiting Violet town, nice friendly atmosphere.

Normally I enjoy the meal here but last time the fish tasted funny, a strange taste that I didn't like , It has turned me off eating fish for quite awhile, plus it was so cold in the dining room, freezing in fact . All the other people at my table said the same thing. We couldn't wait to get out of there as we were so cold.

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality shown to my grandson Mitchell on his 1050klm trek from Tullamarine Vic to Newcastle NSW. It is gestures such as this that have made his journey a success thus far and also lifted his spirits. Can't thank you enough.

Fantastic food and fantastic service.
Was able to sit outside with our dogs and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Fish and chips were delicious.
