Violet Town Cafe

We stopped over at the Violet Town Cafe travelling back to Sydney. We ordered a streak sandwich and wow !! Was everything you want a steak sandwich to be. It was so fresh and full of flavour. Definitely recommend the steak sandwich if you ever pass through this place. Plus the staff are so friendly and welcoming !

We ate here on a rainy day as we were passing through. The ladies who served us were so lovely, and the food was fantastic. We chose to eat outdoors on the cafe tables, undercover. Coffee was amazing, too. Stop in for a lunchtime treat.

Stopped in for a bite while on the road. Chicken Caesar wrap was excellent. Staff friendly and welcoming. Sat outside to eat in a very pleasant and shady spot.

The Violet Town Market if a good reason to find yourself in the small town on a Saturday once a month. After the experience of the market the Cafe is a great place to stop for some refreshments. Service at the Cafe is willing and happy making one feel welcome. Its also timely and these folk are proud of their food and make you very welcome. On the outside of the cafe is a mural which is as good as they get and I like most people visiting the town was blown away. If you are in the area take the time to stop. You won't be dissapointed and if you are the least interested in cricket you to will probably be blown away.

Very friendly staff, great coffee and within a lovely town. Felt very welcomed when we walked in and staff were attentive and we had our coffees quickly. Dining was available both indoors and outside and the food looked reasonable too. Great for a quick bite to each or takeaways like we had. Glad we visited this cafe on our travels through the town.

Lovely spot in courtyard next to murals, good if you have dogs. Service wonderful and willing to adapt menu for vegetarians. Food was delicious and best coffee of our road trip so far. Would recommend stopping here.

Food was lovely and fresh, I had a bacon and egg bun with a pot of tea with a lovely slice of cheesecake 😋

Stopped on our way from Bendigo to Canberra and had breakfast. Bacon and egg roll was delicious and same for coffee. On our way back had lunch and sandwiches were delicious as was coffee again. 10/10 😊

We stopped in for lunch at this little cafe on our way to Porepunkah. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I had the chicken burger and it was amazing! My husband had the hamburger with the lot and he was also impressed with how fresh everything tasted. Thanks so much.

What a treasure! Here on a Sunday, expecting it to be quiet, but the place was humming with locals and visitors taking a break from driving.

Service excellent, food brilliant and great atmosphere. Eat in, on the verandah at the front or the side garden.

Wheelchair access: small step to get in. Verandah and side garden have easy access.

I love this place as I'm driving through Violet Town. On my last visit I stopped in went to look in the display case. There were no vanilla slices but there were lamingtons. This lamington and a pot of black tea made for a great afternoon tea.

Friendly staff & a homely feel. The chicken caesar wrap was delicious & we loved the hot chips (nice & crispy). Brilliant coffee too. Definitely recommend.

As soon as you walk into this café you are made to feel welcome. My take away coffee was great. The hamburger being taken to the dining area looked mouth watering. Worth turning off the Hume Highway if you're driving past.

An extremely welcoming gem in an already welcoming town, the Violet Town Café is a must-stop destination for anyone seeking a quality meal within the warm feeling of a family-run café. I enjoyed a fabulous burger that was hot and fresh with a generous serve of fries, and one of the best thickshakes I have had in a long time. The staff (whose names I have unfortunately forgotten) even let me wash my hands in their sink behind the counter after I had finished! They also have a wonderful selection of lollies too that are not so common, so definitely something for everyone. The flathead tails are also marvellous and worth a mention!
