Weldborough Hotel

Absolutely excellent experience. Loads of warmth and character. If you like English country pubs, you'll love this. Gorgeous old building, lovely staff, good wines, delicious meals, great outdoor beer garden under the trees.

Fantastic pub with a heap of character. The food and Jason's bread and butter pudding were great. The adjoining camping area with showers and toilets is a real gem. Thanks for the great hospitality. Can highly recommend.

BLOODY good pub. Best steak sandwich I’ve had in years. Other meals looked excellent too. Really good selection of Tasmanian beer. Gorgeous, well maintained surroundings. Couldn’t have been happier to drive by. Thanks!

Great little pub - super friendly staff. Chicken schnitzel / parmi meals we ordered were huge. Stayed in donation caravan 'camping' behind pub - clean ablutions, showers available $2. Boardwalk through forest behind the pub. Top spot.

Great selection of meals with great service! Between the table we had the steak, Thai Green Curry, bangers and mash which were superb; then finished with Apple & Rhubarb or the bread and butter pudding with icecream which were equally delicious. We luckily got a quiet period so the staff had time for a good chat before we rolled back to our cars full and happy!

Beautiful (donation) campground! Love it. I only stay for a night but if you are not in a rush stay. So peaceful, you have the pub there and staff and food great.

This has to be one of the best pubs in Australia. Its simple and rustic but they make you feel so welcome. Everyone chatted and laughed. Good food and the owner makes good coffee too (even tho hes a non coffee drinker lol)
Out the back is a well kept big space to put your van, camper tent or swag... for a token fee.

What a wonderful place to stay, eat and drink in a most beautiful, green and lush setting.
Weldborough hotel is situated nicely between St Helens and Derby. A great place to camp for riders, walkers and fossickers. Showers, toilets, well kept amenities.
The food is amazing. Huge serves, fantastics value and well made.
But most of all the staff! Friendly and oh so helpful. We thank them very much for all the help they gave us with our broken down car. John and Jason. You are legends. Thankyou.

Just had the chicken parmigiana and will give a 11 out of 10 ,chicken was moist and full of flavour,chips were crisp and plentiful,I tip my hat to the salad as it was so tasty .staff and host were nice people .
I think whatever you order you are going to be well sated.cheers ,ps ! I will be back

Had lunch here. Steak sandwich was recommended and it was outstanding. Nothing worse than pulling chewy steak btw bread, but this was extremely tender. Great atmosphere and the publican was very friendly.

Best Steak Sandwich in the Universe! We rode Blue Tier & Big Chook before lunch (a big thanks to Vertigo MTB, Derby, for the shuttle service, and excellent track advice) & Atlas after lunch. The pub is where you stop for lunch, and the food, the atmosphere, and the publican and his daughter are awesome. So friendly and welcoming!

We spend one night in the camping of Welborough hotel, the spot is really beautiful, we had a beautiful diner at the restaurant, I highly recommend this place. The owner and chef (John and Matthew) are super welcoming, helpful and generous, I thank them for that.

Stopped at this quaint pub for lunch on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. Sat in the beer garden - delightful! Great service too, very friendly.

Had a booking for 20 of us on New Years Eve and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff and food were great! Plenty of outdoor tables to enjoy the rare warm evening. (Inside seating also available). Very friendly service, meals came out quickly and were delicious. Highly recommend the burgers (see photo of beef burger). Fish burger equally delicious. Good selection of pub food. Excellent portion size and fresh side salads. Cucumber gin and tonic on tap was a nice surprise. After our meals the Manager came and had a chat, so nice. We'll be back and highly recommend you stop in.

We discovered this spot a few years ago and cant believevit isnt more well known.

Awesome staff, amazing food, great range of beers, lovely historic hotel with gorgeous free camping grounds right in the middle of the world class Blue Tier and Blue Derby mtb trails that run through spectacular rainforests. You can catch bike shuttles from the hotel to the Blue Tier and Bay of Fires trailhead as well as to Atlas that runs down to Derby. The Blue Tier trail finishes behind the Hotel so you couldn't ask for more.

Great pub in awesome location with free camping and great toilets/shower.
Jason at the pub is a legend.

Hosted us for a grade 12 camp, most lovely staff that went to the extent to get a tv across the road for our group to watch football, made us hot chocolates and feel at home! Lovely warm showers, great 8Ball table and amazing food :)

Stopped in for a meal and a few beers on a MTB trip. Friendly, welcoming staff and excellent food - flavoursome and fresh

Stayed in the caravan on nice green grass, had wonderful meals at the pub both nights we were here, very delicious. So friendly, clean toilets and hot showers if you need.
Top place would definitely stay again
