Its a short walk away from the camp area. There is a toilet close by, convenient for cleaning up after playing the the river. On the bridge you'll be able to immerse yourself taking in the scenery on both sides of the river. If you are up for a walk, you can also reach the Squeaky Beach via a trail from here.

Tidal river campsite is connected to Squeaky beach by a wooden footbridge over the river. Both sides offer nice views.

The perfect place to go for a walk in peace and tranquillity. Wombats are everywhere, especially early in the morning and late at night.

A great place for families. Walk to Squeaky beach from Tidal River Foot Bridge takes around an hour.

This is your way from Tidal River to Pillar Point Lookout or Squeaky Beach. Or, best of all, the place to launch your kayak from and either paddle out to sea (if the tide is up), or to paddle upstream till you run out of room. Great easy paddle for beginners. Good solid 1hr-1.5hrs return if you want to go as far as you can go. Lots of bird life to enjoy, and amazing views. September is the best time for me, not too hot, not so busy at the campground, and the water is just perfect with the days long enough to enjoy a good long paddle. Thoroughly recommend it. Enjoy!

Loved being at the camping site on an amazing sunny weekend. The bridge is all wood and has a wonderful feeling crossing over the clear water of the tidal river.

Sometimes you can see fish below. Surrounded by the wetlands it's beautiful around the morning sun.

Tidal River is another beautiful place to visit.
It is nearly 3 and half hours far from Melbourne city.
If you are looking for a perfect place for camping this is the one.

This is a beautiful bridge that traverses across the shimmering water that draws you in, you'll find yourself leaning over the railing of the bridge staring into the rippling reflections in the water, and you may catch yourself lost in thought, such as the time you forgot your wallet in the house when you had to get petrol, or when how the big dreams and plans you had for your life have been forgotten as you fall victim to the avolition induced by a set of self-created pathological subroutines that consequently lead to you becoming constrained within your own prison. Make sure to go in the morning or before sunset to get a nice warm sun on the water rather than the harsh midday sun!

I’m swimmer and experienced lot of rivers and ocean but trust me I don’t know why but this had a different vibe even after 4-5 years I always remember the experience of 10 minutes in that water it felt like moderate water if I go backward it felt like warm and if I go forward it felt like cold
Gods gifted river
