Our dining experience at Glenbosch was superb. We opted for the 5 course Chefs Table at $105pp was well priced. Courses were "fashionably" small, but we certainly didn't come away still feeling hungry. Table service was great, we were well informed, all questions answered simply and clearly. A lovely dining experience.

What a beautiful surprise Glenbosch Estate is. The serenity, the views, the gorgeous accommodation, the restaurant, the wines, all delightful!! We come to Beechworth for a getaway every year, its our happy place & Glenbosch is now our choice for accommodation. High end finishes, all done tastefully, away from the other cottages giving complete privacy. The stars at night while in the hot tub are next level!! Kangaroos in the evenings and waking up to magpies, cockatoos and kookaburras. Our meal at the restaurant was perfect! Dirk, the owner went out of his way to hand deliver us ice, champagne flutes, tune us into his Kayo for footy & even started our hot tub fire. Cannot wait to return. Thankyou Glenbosch👏👏

I am a local wedding photographer and photographed a wedding here in Feb this year. Glenbosch is such a stunning venue for couples planning their wedding day and I seriously can't rate the owners and staff highly enough. When I arrived early on the day the owners took me for a drive around the property to find the perfect locations for photos and were so helpful and warm. For weddings the venue is perfect, modern cabins on site for getting ready, a gorgeous bridal suite with lots of natural light, a shady and very pretty ceremony spot, vineyards, and the most epic views for sunset. Seriously love it and very worth checking out if you are planning a wedding!!!

An amazing meal at sunset, in a stunning location. We chose the 5-course Chef's Table Experience and it surpassed our expectations- it was colourful, innovative, flavour-driven and wines were perfectly paired with each of the dishes.
Having thoroughly enjoyed our pre-dinner gin cocktails, we purchased a bottle of the Honey Rooibos. We look forward to visiting regularly and enjoying the seasonal menus. Well done!

An absolutely beautiful winery located 10kms from Beechworth. We ate there over the weekend and enjoyed some of the finest food we have tasted for a while. A good selection of full bodied whites and reds are available, the cabernet sauvignon easily being in the top 3 I have tried. It may even be the best. Nika and Dirk Bester bring you a fabulous little slice of South Africa to Victoria. Well worth a visit. On a personal note I must thank the two of you for your beautiful, warm welcome, to both of us. It made my birthday weekend a memorable one.

We had an amazing trip to Glenbosch Winery. A fantastic 5 course meal with wine and gin tastings to follow. We then took a walk around the property with a wine in hand which was tranquil and beautiful.
Our cottage was spotless and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends!

Very special ZA style eating and cellar door. Great Pinot Gris and Rooibos Gin Liqueurs. Wonderful food. We loved a feeling of Cape Town in Beechworth.

Landed here with little knowledge about the wine estate or the restaurant, but we leave as fervent fans! The menu is full of delights while being delightfully brief. The scenery leaves you taking regular deep breaths as the green hills fill you with an old, quiet calm. The staff are friendly, and the gins, all distilled on site, are a roulette wheel of wins, no matter which one you land on.
Our visit was capped off by a generous and dazzling indulgence from Chris, the truly talented gastronomic guru, who whipped up a palate cleansing three-step experience full of colour, taste and pop! (No point in a hack attempt at detailing this. You'll have to go and see for yourself!
From all sides, this little hideaway is a genuine gem.

Absolutely brilliant. Everything is stunning from the moment you enter the gates - the scenery, the restaurant, the staff, the wine...but most of all THE FOOD!! We had a table of 3 adults and 1 young child. It's an exciting menu so we all ordered different things and every single dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. My mum literally got goosebumps the pork belly was that good! But it was the kid's steak & mash that impressed me the most - it was as good as any adult steak you'd happily pay $40 for. If they take that kind of care with such quality produce perfectly cooked even for a littlie, no wonder the adult meals were so great. Two thumbs up, 5 stars, 10 out of 10, they get all the top marks!

Ate lunch here September 2022. The best meal I’ve had all year (I’m a former chef), real fine dining and a real asset to the region. The cannelloni, barramundi, and chocolate dessert were all standouts, the beef, broccolini and cheese course were all also excellent and interesting. Their new South African chef has achieved something incredible here. The wine was also great. The location is beautiful, the dining area is large and a little echoey if you encounter louder groups but nicely spaced out. The service was good and the new owners seemed lovely.

I rarely comment on restaurants and even more rarely would give 5 stars. This was a surprise for me - my first time there last Friday night. The menu is really well thought out and has some South African magic. The food was superb and what really impressed was it all arrived at the perfect temperature. The last time I experienced things this well executed in regional Australia was at Stefano's cellar in Mildura. In my opinion Glenbosch is that good.
Wines were excellent as expected from Beechworth, service great and very nice people, a great high quality local feel to the place. The food, however, was truly something else and rates with the best I have had in numerous countries.
Thank you Glenbosch.

Wow, wow, wow….. I could stop the review there!

The winery is located just a couple of minutes out of Beechworth on the southern side, as you approached you can see the prime location for this winery set with a backdrop the vineyards and hills.

We attended the winery were not disappointed, the staff were extremely friendly, polite and welcoming. As you enter you can smell the delicious foods being cooked in the semi-open kitchen area.

We were seated in indoors near the window and ordered a couple of drinks for the table, being a couple of beers, a bottle of Modesto (sensational), an espresso martini and the Glenbosch 2020 Sauvignon Blanc….. All superb!

We then ordered meals which were cooked to perfection, I would recommend the grilled scallops as a starter and the Charcoal Grilled Black Angus Eye Fillet, although everyone loved their meal no matter what it was.

We sat, ate, talk, laughed, drank and took in the magnificent view.

The meal and drinks for 5 people was about $380 which I thought was excellent considering the quality.

If you are in the area and want a high end meal and an absolutely sensational time, head over to Glenbosch winery.

Went here for weekend lunch after making an online reservation. Arrived a little earlier to attend a tasting (wine or gin) prior to lunch.
Chose the full chef's table / five (5) courses, whereby you can select an entree, main and dessert from the given options. The other two courses included the chef's 'treat of the day' and palate cleanser just prior to dessert. For entrees, I chose the Portside and Paddock (scallop and beautifully cooked duck with pesto cous cous and mushroom gel. Premium Eye fillet was chosen for mains, which was perfectly cooked and balanced nicely with an interesting cafe au lait sauce. For dessert, I chose the Malva Pudding which was an amazing end with lovely textures of meringue shards, luscious ice cream and soft cake. Shout out to the palate cleanser, which was an experience served at the bar involving sichuan flower and soothing blend the apple and berries (I won't spoil details).
Service was friendly and efficient. Smart casual ambience with indoor and terrace seating available. Beautiful surrounds, including alpacas if you are lucky. Prices are quite reasonable for fine dining - $99 pp for a five-course experience.
Overall, an exceptional lunch. Highly recommend.

We decided to stop over in beechworth on our drive back to Melbourne. After doing a google search we came across Glenbosch and were drawn by the fact it had a dedicated kids menu. We arrived early at 5.20 as we have a 5 year old. The restaurant was empty. We were greeted by Bernice (I hope I got the spelling right) who was warm and personable. We ordered the scallops, kids steak and moo mains with fries for myself and my wife. Ordered gin and tonic and didn't know Glenbosch had their own. WOW! The original gin with dried limes and blueberries was spectacular! I tried the roobios tea gin as well and it was really unique and smooth. Ended up purchasing the original gin and the roobios one. Scallop entree was great couldn't fault. Moo main on first impression the steak looked a little small but the meat itself with the potato gratin was perfect. The fries were super tasty but I think it would be better if they were traditional French fries (skinny ones) with peri peri seasoning offered as an option only. Also, with the kids menu it would be great to see an organic juice as drink of choice and fruit as option as well ice cream. Sorry I would have liked a pasta or chicken or lamb option for a main as well. I didn't see in any of the emails a pick up service from the winery so not sure what happened there. Also, the emails mentioned nothing about coming earlier to enjoy the cellar door. Bernice was great and allowed me to sample a couple of the different gins at the bar in the restaurant. I would only say please keep the kitchen door closed it ruins the lovely ambience of the bar area. Can't wait to go back and sit outside and enjoy a drink watching a sunset (that would be nice as well to be able to come in summer and have some cheese or grazing plates in the afternoon)
