Amazing campsite and well maintained. It had hot water facility, clean and maintained toilets, friendly parks Victoria members ready to assist. Big campsite. Seperate place for washing utensils. Power points available near laundry area. Washing machine and dryer facilities available. Next to the beautiful beach and tidal river. You can enjoy multiple sports on the beach and at the river. Tidal river is very nice for swim. Few bush walks around the campsites are amazing. Watch out for wombats, though they are friendly but can attract if they smell food in tent. Convenient store has all basic you need, it also has a cafe and few food options available. Toilets are cleaned everyday. Campsites also has open cinema if anyone wish to watch.

Amazing campground at the National Park. Lots of sites and lots of people but beautiful location with good hikes and tidal river and ocean close. One of the biggest campgrounds you will ever go to probably. Great spot. We stayed 2 nights. There is fresh water available and a visitor center and small store for essentials only. Good size sites.

Tidal River Campground is just awesome for camping! It's super chill for families, and there's always something fun going on. The natural surroundings make it a rad spot for hiking, and they've got cool group activities too. The whole vibe is laid-back, and the facilities are on point. If you're into a mix of nature and good times, Tidal River is the place to be! 🏞🏕

Wilsons promatory is one of my favourite places anywhere, Tidal River camp round is a big part, with over 250 campsites, which get booked out as they did last weekend. Lots of wildlife including many wombats birds and possums. The wombats are great but entered our mesh fly tent though the mesh in the night, no food in there, they will raid your camp looking for food. General store and take away fills some gaps. Many excellent walks originate from Tidal river.

Have been going to Tidal River camping for many years.
Just be mindful weather when it’s very windy that you’re prepared for a back up tent. 😂. Only once in my life time I have had this happen. But tip is to take up back up accommodation JUST in case wind break the tent. That time winds reached over 90kms and there is no chance for poles from
Tent to survive.
Will go back again for sure. Kids love it as there’s so much wild life and playing area for them to explore.
Don’t forget to check out the rock that looks like a whale.
There’s a boat tour to see side of Wilson’s Prom from the sea side. Highly recommended 👌

Great camping ground. We saw wombats walking around on the campsite. The facilities of the campground felt like the facilities of a holiday park - fantastic!

Great facilities and amazing wildlife. You’ll definitely see wombats and wallabies. Recommend not leaving any food or rubbish in accessible locations as the wildlife will get to it!

Stunning national park with mountains to hike, bush land to explore and camping where the river meets the sea. Magical location!

I love camping. And this has to be some of the cleanest well looked after camp grounds. Lots of access to fresh water for showers, washing or drinking. Beaches feel so private and the water is clean and gorgeous

Price: $32 per night For a tent There is a lot of space There are few electrical points. I intend to stay for two nights. Unfortunately there was heavy rain and strong winds. So I decided to just sleep for one night. But it is considered a very beautiful and natural place. Will come back next time.

Great location close to plenty of amazing hikes. Easy walking distance to the beach. Great, clean showers and toilets. Plenty of wildlife to see too.
Good little store with food and camping supplies if you've left anything behind.

Wonderful campground with hot showers and flushing toilets (absolutely unheard of back home in qld national parks). We did go in off peak, so I can imagine it gets pretty hectic. But October without school holidays was an excellent experience. Wonderful walks and opportunity to view wildlife. Honestly had the best time!

We had a wonderful three days here, off-peak in October.
The campground is very well set up. Good access, great sites, decent privacy between sites. And a short walk to the beach. The toilets and showers were good too.
Lots of cute wildlife to observe and stunning views of Mt Oberon at sunset.
We took two fantastic walks from here. To the west, the walk up Mt Oberon was long, with a breathtaking view at the top.
To the east, over the bridge, was shorter and easier with many different types of vegetation and landscape.

3 days were not enough! We'll definitely return 😃

Gorgeous spot! If you don't like to swim in the ocean there is a creek to the right when facing the ocean! It's also great for small children because it's shallow in most spots. When I went the campground looked quite busy but that was because it was a holiday weekend!

I have been to the Tidal river through the camp site and it the place where the river meets the sea. Lovely place for a picnic too. Shallow water with few deep spots but looks safe for kids too. Be on alert as in the afternoon the water level rises suddenly. Such a beautiful place to be

Absolutely magical place. Beautiful beach. Everyone says hello. Great facilities at this campground, everything you need. Watch out for wombats ripping open your tent and eating your food….we learnt the hard way, leave you food inside your car.

Considering the sheer volume of visitors, actually really well-managed and spaced out.

Obviously, a great location and time for anyone. But for anyone worrying that this campsite might be low quality or a bit unkempt, it isn’t! Anything but!

Great water pressure in the showers, wash up facilities, spacious and private sites for motor homes. Good bbq facilities and access to many things!
