Serene ambiance, stellar service

I had a truly amazing stay at Nimbo Fork Lodge. The staff are helpful and bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable.

The Three Blue Ducks restaurant serves quality food with impeccable service. I stayed for two nights in one of the suites and it was very comfortable and had all the amenities you need.

My only criticism would be the with the breakfast hamper. Whilst packed with a great selection of food and generous portion sizes, there is nowhere in your room to eat it and no microwave to reheat the zucchini slice. The 7 min eggs are also cold. I would have preferred them to be hot and straight from the kitchen. That being said everything was tasty and well presented.

The estate is located in a tranquil setting and the marked river walk is a great way to start the day. Management have also placed seats along the walk to take advantage of rhe beautiful views.

No children under the age of 16 are allowed to stay at the lodge which I appreciated.

Beautiful decor that gives a calming feel. Fantastic location with great views. All staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast hamper was just the right size and Three Blue Ducks has amazing dinners. Great location for a romantic weekend away.

Fantastic getaway with awesome staff and beautiful rooms. Clean, spacious and modern, there is a lovely river to walk by, amazing restaurant on site, and if you get a cottage the best part is watching the birds and sunset from your back deck.

Stayed for two nights and i cannot fault anything, the staff we attentive and engaged (friendly), the food was amazing and the accommodation so picturesque.

Walking along the Tumut river on the second night with the sun setting and the light rain falling was spectacular. Watching the fish swim and trying to sneak a look at the shy platypus was just great.

Highlight was the friendly wombat visiting just before sunrise emerging on the path and plodding down to sniff some shoes before heading to its burrow was great.

One of those rare things, would love to have a weekender just like this to watch the world go by if funds allowed it. Will just have to head back again sometime in the meantime.

Absolutely breathtaking!! This place was simply outstanding in every way possible. The staff were so friendly and attentive, Eunice & Lucy were very welcoming. The food was just incredible… The best lamb I’ve ever had. Not to mention the beautiful views… I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a surreal experience. We loved every minute of being there!

Our whole experience was wonderful. Every staff member was beyond accommodating, over the phone and in person. The cabin was excellent with everything we required, warm and well set out. Lounge and dining areas were welcoming and relaxing. Even the parrots provided entertainment in the morning watching them shyly feed on the native flora. We loved our experience and want to return in Spring/Summer to try fly fishing and sunset on the balcony.

We had a cottage, lovely room and bathroom with a great verandah to watch the rushing river. The river and lots of tiny birds are the only sounds you hear. Idyllic in every way! Unfortunately the restaurant is not open every night and no other meals are available. ( A picnic hamper breakfast is available for purchase but the contents did not appeal).

Where do I start

The staff are experts in customer service and making your experience an absolute joy. The serving staff for dinner were incredible and fun (shout out to Courtney) and the building and accommodation is simply first class.

The walk and scenes surrounding the lodge are first class.

Will definitely be coming back again!

Our two night stay at Nimbo Folk Lodge was unforgettable. From our greeting upon arrival to the service from the wait staff at Three Blue Ducks restaurant we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay and eat. A great place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of a busy lifestyle. We highly recommend Nimbo Folk Lodge for your next getaway.

Great food, cocktails and atmosphere! The staff are great and the view is even better! Would recommend to anyone looking for a weekend away with amazing food and accommodation.

I have just spent the weekend here with some girlfriends and we all had the best stay. Our accommodation was so gorgeous with the most beautiful views. The food and drinks amazing. The star of the weekend was our host Peter. Nimbo Fork Lodge are so lucky to have someone so talented and accommodating. He went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable and effortless. 5/5 for service. I will be back.

Spent two wonderful nights at the lodge. We were well looked after. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and relaxing. The view from our cottage was calming and picturesque. The dining room is beautifully designed and the food delicious. If you want to go on drives in the area Matt has recommendations. If you are after a relaxing, comfortable ambience and want to spoil yourself this is the place. Hope to visit again.

Beautiful location to getaway from the hub bub of it all - my partner and I absolutely adored the serene spot. Sheep, cows, and a calming river in the backyard - what more could you ask for! Matt & co were super attentive - delicious food, proper coffee, and mean cocktails!! 100% recommend!

We had a wonderful stay, cottage was well appointed with great views over the river and lush country, they have had some much need rain. Happy hour, food and service fantastic. Pete and Lucy were the best . We will be back.

What can I say? Food was exceptional.
It's 20mins out from Tumut and it's like driving onto your own ranch up a long drive.
1st, it is a little expensive, but we'll worth it. Posted pictures of a coffee and bar snack.
2nd, going back on Sunday for wedding anniversary. I'll update after we have dinner.

My stay at Nimbo Fork Lodge was phenomenal. I went for a weekday trip with some friends and the staff at Nimbo were kind, helpful and fantastic with communication. They ensured we had a great stay and helped to plan activities in the area, including fly fishing, horse riding and different spots of interest.

Would definitely go back again, and would recommend.

Side Note: The morning coffees made by Gemma are second to none!
