Tidal River Open Air Cinema

So much fun! Reasonable prices and a wombat joined us in enjoying the film.

The coffee here is perfect. The service, wow, i can’t believe i put ip with the service from the general store instead of coming here. Yes, you guys rock!

Had a lovely evening at the cinema. Deckchairs provided where comfortable and you could hire bean bags for $5 if you wanted to sit closer to the screen on the grass. Snacks and drinks available and they have an interval during the film for that purpose. Toilets in the cinema as well. Screen very clear and sound good also. Very pleasant evening.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience watching a movie under the starts. The directors' chairs and bean bags give this place a real atmosphere of years gone by. They also have an intermission (very unusual these days) where you can buy food, coffee, hot chocolate etc... for the remainder of the movie. I couldn't fault the experience or the staff in any way. They clearly care about their business.

Loved it. Great atmosphere, and a bit surreal to be watching new release movies in the midst of such magnificent wild scenery. Can be freezing at night so rug up.

Went there to see every movie that was showing over summer when we were on holidays. It's a great place to go and has a retro feel to it.

Carry the latest movies. Standard seating is a reclined beach chair, but one can rent bean bags for an extra fee.

Interestingly - to some, annoyingly - the movies come with intermission during which you can buy stuff from the small kiosk.

The Cinema is an icon and it’s surrounded by one of the most beautiful National Parks in the country. Highly recommended.
