Worth the hike up! Mostly easy trek, but you do have to go uphill and go over some rocks a bit more carefully. The view is absolutely worth it, but it also gets quite crowded up there so try to go early on weekends if you don’t want to wait for a photo op!

Breathtaking views at anytime of the day, but the best is always at sunrise and sunset.
Relatively easy track to get to the lookout, only a small effort is needed to climb up to the boulder for a more stunning view at the end of the track. The place is covered by dry woodland, you can find interesting plants along the track. You can even spot kangaroos in the early morning.
Great alternative for a 360° view after Mount Oberon. You can spot Skull Island from the lookout.

Breathtaking views. Easy walk till top. Take care on the huge rocks and be safe. If it's cloudy/rainy, views won't be as pretty as in the pictures. Sunny day views are worth it.

Beautiful hike of 3.8km return. It's a fairly easy walk although it goes up. My 3 and half year old child walked by himself the first km without any problem. He was then too tired and returned with his dad. I finished the hike all the way to the lookout. The lookout itself is a bit tricky to reach since I had to climb on a huge round rock, so it is definitely not accessible for everyone. At the beginning of the walk there's a beautiful bridge crossing a river. The view is amazing with the mountains surrendering us. When we came back to the parking lot around 4:30pm, we spotted a wallaby and a wombat.

I've done the walk to Squeaky Beach many times but never been to Pillar Point. It's now my favourite place in the park. I was lucky enough to be the only person there for about 30 minutes. Incredible views and it is so peaceful sitting on top of the boulders. Just be careful getting down, it can be slippery!

A worthwhile side quest if you're traversing from Tidal River to Squeaky Beach.
Good views of beaches on either side.

This is a fantastic part of Wilson's prom. We parked our car at the lily pilly car park and started out hike there. The hike to tidal lookout is easy with uphill hiking early on. You'll find a large boulder for a great view of looking back at the car park and photo opportunities. Continue hiking and you'll see the coast. Another 30mins on and you will reach pillar point. The photo opportunities there are amazing and it is a must do. On the way back we hiked down to tidal river bridge and from there it was an easy walk around back to lily pilly car park. Fantastic hike. Took us around 2.5 hours in totally but we stopped many times for photos and walked at a very slow and leisurely pace.

Great views and easy to get here. The additional side track from the Tidal view circuit is only an extra 10 minutes one-way.

Great spot. We started from squeaky Beach (the entrance to the path is at the other end of the beach than the access from the parking lot). We took around 1,5h round trip (including sight seeing and taking pictures). However, the first part of the walk is in the sun, no shade at all. Definitely bring a hat and sun screen.
