Beautiful view!

They have a bus service even on public holiday that takes us up there which is ongoing. They have a timetable for it on the bus stand. The bus driver is really nice and he would remind everyone one timing of the last bus making sure no one misses it.

The view from up there was phenomenal.
Worth the hike.

An hour up and 45 mins down. The track most of the way is a gravel road way built to serve the signalling masts, so just a steady climb. No real views on the way up, and plenty of shade. The last bit (400m or so) though, is a clamber up to the pinnacle at the top where the best views are from. Part stairs, part rock scramble. Still not difficult for the able bodied and worth it for the view from the top. This is a must do for anyone visiting the area. We went up in the evening to watch the sunset. Although dusk/dark on the decent the path is easy enough to follow, but be aware it gets mighty cold very quickly.

Mt Oberon stands 558m high in Wilsons Promontory National Park, in southern Victoria. The walk from the car park is about 3km long, climbs about 300m in altitude and took me about 45 minutes. For most of the way you walk on a gravel road that provides access to the transmitters just below the summit. After you reach them the last part to the top is via narrow steps. The road is moderately steep, the steps more so. The reward is fine views over Tidal River, the ocean and much of the Prom.

This is a solid hike.
The sign says 115 mins walk up. It took us longer. It is a slow steady uphill walk. With epic view up the top. There is no beach view until you get right to the very top and the views are 360 degrees and well worth it.

Super windy on top. Even on a hot day, I'd take a top with sleeve for on the hill. The track up is well maintained. And beautiful WI flowers everywhere. We walked it in spring.

Busy track. Safe. A day well spent

From a small carpark, which you may have to park along the side of the road, it’s a decent continuous grade hike for just over 4kms. There is a short rocky stair section at the end at the communication towers to make it to the summit, and a good place to catch your breath. Once at the summit there are two rocky areas to make the most of the spectacular views. The way down is much more relaxing as you return to the carpark. There are a few other hikes available from this carpark also, just be mindful of closures due to damage from severe weather on these other tracks.

The walk up to the summit is difficult as it is on an incline the ENTIRE way. Make sure to time it right because the view is nonexistent on a cloudy day unfortunately! We didn’t get to see much but it was a fun experience nonetheless. Be sure to bring warm clothes because it is extremely windy and cold at the top!

Mount Oberon is a basic 1 hour and 15 minute treck up a dirt road. The views from the summit are amazing and vast. It's definitely worth the time to visit. Hat, good shoes, comfortable clothing, and a bottle of water is essential. Parking is limited.

3500m on a 350m elevation. Stunning views at the top. Leave before 9 am to miss THE CROWDS.

The day we went, it was windy and overcast and raining, making it impossible to see any views. quite unlucky Because after coming down for about an hour, the sky was clear again. I was sad. I had to go back again.

We have visited Wilson Promontory National Park on King's birthday long weekend. We were 10 people, went to Mt. Oberon.
It took 8km to and fro hiking and then had reach to the point. There is no doubt that it was worth hiking over uneven boulders and terrain. You would get one rest room common for all, not at all maintained. Must carry water bottle, snacks etc because there was no food counter found. Car parking was enough available.
It's a must watch spot if you stay in Melbourne.

Awesome, to go to the top and come back will take about 3 hours, having in mind that we spend some time on the top of the mountain. Up there is really windy, but the view is extraordinary beautiful.

Quite a decent walk, then climb up rock stairs to reach the summit. But wow is it worth it! What an amazing view of the coast! If you are up for the walk about 3.5km one way you will not be disappointed by the views. Camera shots does not do it justice.

I had a road trip from Melbourne City to Mount Oberon and had a good hike there in the afternoon. It's 2hrs 30mins drive, and about 1 hour hiking frim carpark to the peak of the mount.

While driving to the mount, we took a break and fuel up our car at BP Station, Fish Creek, about ~35km away from Mount Oberon.

We park our car at Telegraph Saddle Carpark, and start hiking. The hiking journey was about ~3km (~6km in total for two-ways) and the view at the top was stunning. The carpark could be very full and difficult to park. Dont forget to wear proper clothing according to the weather season, and bring your drinking water and/or snack sufficiently.

It's also free admission.

Rather strenuous hike for people who don’t hike much but the views are well worth it.

Easy to do. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Weather was cloudy so didn’t see anything at the summit.

Without a doubt one of the best views ever! Its a medium gradient walk up to the submit with the last stretch a lil bit uneven and steep as it's rock carving steps as such but once you reach the top and you take in that view everything else in the world is forgotten! The sunset from here is surreal and on a good day it's absolutely blissful!!! It can get really windy up there so best to be prepared and the walk down after sunset can be a bit dark too but overall a fantastic experience !! :)

Spectacular view on the top.
It's not hard hiking in 1 hour worth it. I started hike on 3pm. It's a bit dark in winter.
