Can't really fault this place. Greeted warmly as we arrived and promptly shown to our table. The drinks did take a while to arrive but the lovely ambience and service more than made up for it. We had the set menu and there was too much food for us six ladies. Every dish was beautifully prepared with the freshest of ingredients and pride. When the bill came, four of us paid by cash and two paid separately on our respective cards and that was not a bother for the restaurant at all (this type of bill splitting is such a rarity here in Melbourne which should be practiced more in other restaurants). Will be bringing my other friends back here.

Wonderful modern Turkish food. Located at the end of the busy South Yarra strip, Yagiz is a bright light and airy space. Service is super friendly and welcoming. All the food on the menu looks sensational and comes as family-style share dishes - great way to try lots of different things; every dish we ordered was delicious and had unique flavours. The duck cigars were amazing, as was the baklava. And the Pine Mushrooms with ezine cheese - so good! Great evening with friends. Highly recommend.

Wow, what an experience, excellent service, cocktails, ambiance & the food, brilliant food.

Go for the DOYUMLUK, the dips, the sardines, swordfish, seafood mix. We really liked the TARAMA – Tarama salata, trout roe the most.

Very enjoyable restaurant. The space was comfortable and did not become too loud event hough it was busy. Service was great. Food were good overall. The bean parfait and grape jelly was a highlight, with the rose ice cream a close second. Would suggest adding more sauce to the cauliflower dish to add more punch as a main course.

Amazing! Everything about this place was great, the vibe, the drinks, the food and the staff! We did the chefs menu at $69 a head and honestly almost had to be rolled out of there. All of the dishes were amazing. I will definitely be coming back here.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I've never tried Turkish food before; and I wasn't disappointed.
Enjoyed all my food but my favourites are the duck cigar, jumbo prawns with chilli butter (ask for bread if there are more sauces left), and calamari (was a bit apprehensive eating the black ink but it's yummy!). The fried brussel sprouts were surprisingly delicious and the ice cream was good even for someone who doesn't eat much sweet like me.
Staff was friendly and attentive; the place was roomy and not too posh to make you uncomfortable.
Unisex toilets are a bit dark but thank goodness for locked spacious cubicles.

Enjoyed an awesome spread of mezze food, sharing tasting menu. Dips, bread, sardines, lamb, squid and swordfish. The standout dish and a must eat was the squid. Live music playing was a great touch. Some tasty cocktails too. Highly recommend

We had the office Christmas party at this place. It was simply a feast of Turkish food. The person who served us gave a good introduction of every dish we got, how to eat it and it's history. Got some super Turkish Cocktails as well. Must visit place for Turkish food lover visiting Melbourne or living in South Yarra.

A must do! Professional attentive service, delicious, high quality food. Definitely one to go back to, and will try the souffle next time. We selected from the menu, all dishes were excellent.

We had a great night with friends. Highly recommended. Kalamar, Moreton baybug, flatbread and duck cigar are my favourite dishes of the night, very nice experience, all dishes are amazing.

Beautiful venue, great food, and genuinely friendly and professional service. We had the 4 course menu which was delicious and a good selection of flavours and turkish food. Our main waiter was Alpher who was amazing, but all the staff were great, welcoming and friendly. Thank you for having us. We will come back with our friends next time.

WOW!! What an amazing dining experience. We loved everything from the interior design, service, wine selection, and of course the food!!!! We did the chefs tasting with 4 courses and were impressed by every step. Can’t wait to go back. We enjoyed the food so much that I only got a photo of the dessert...

Had their set Christmas lunch menu which was fantastic and great value for money.

Random pick at South Yarra on weekday evening, welcome by the staff at reception, we’re seated quickly, the staff introduced us their menu, they have a la crate or tasting menus available. Our first time having Turkish food, staff patiently explain details of each.
We pick some of their recommendations and our own selection. Good food and Turkish coffee taste amazing! Very satisfied meal.

Great food with a perfect pairing of Turkish wine. I'm very impressed with the overall quality. As a previous GM in 5 star hotels in Turkey, I'm pleased that Yagiz represents and introduces Turkish cuisine with a modern twist to Australia. Well done, I will definitely be back!

Went here for the traditional Turkish night. Excellent food, great service and unique atmosphere! Really enjoyed the fava bean parfait and the brussel sprouts are an absolute must have! Will definitely come back for more

It's rare to dine in a restaurant where absolutely everything is 10/10. Food, drinks, service, interior design, music, atmosphere, everything to the smallest detail. Yagiz was one of those rare ones. We had the chef's menu and everything was extremely delicious. Well thought out menu, good sized portions, quality ingredients and executed to perfection. Thank you Yagiz!

Great atmosphere, attentive staff and amazing food. Absolutely loved every single dish we had and was really blown away with the flavour and presentation. Superb quality and great Turkish wine selections. Really enjoy the passport bill too! Agree with another review that the dark bathroom is not a winner for women but they are beautifully designed spacious and clean. Booked the family in the very next week so that speaks volumes. Highly recommend.
