Gaol Cafe Kilmore

Lovely venue with a great variety of food choices. This is my second visit and I was not disappointed. On the first visit I had the best ever steak sandwich. This visit I had Panko crumbed flat head tails that came with delicious chips and a little salad. I was not keen on the salad but the rest was very good and non greasy. Will definitely go again.

Come and do sometime at the old Gaol Cafe. Enjoy the Goal food, bread and water optional! Seriously, great food, so many shake flavours, reasonable price… And if you too right a review, you too may get an early release.. but don’t know you would want to!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Gaol Cafe located within the historic gaol in Victoria, and it was a delightful and unique experience. Here are a few highlights from my visit:

Great cafe.. not to mention the range of milkshake flavours! Do yourself a favour when passing through Kilmore.. take a slight diversion from the main road, fighting for a park, and the crowds try the Gaol cafe! Options from light snacks and drinks, to serious indulgence!

Thanks to lady at service counter, who was very accommodating in supplying takeaway service quickly to 2 of our party, whilst the remaining 3 of us enjoyed leisurely meals.

Food was great, My Husband had the fish and chips, he did say a couple more pieces of fish would have been nice. But he really enjoyed it. I loved my steak sandwich it was delicious A friend had the Calamari and she loved that also.

Most beautiful place to have a reception. Rich with history and lovely people at the Gaol to deal with. Highly recommend for any type of function.

Great tasty food and generous serving brekky roll was awesome. The staff singing is great too - you might not hear it, needs to be the right song. Lol

This is my absolute favourite Cafe in Kilmore. Excellent food, fabulous coffee and friendly staff. What more could you want?
The location is away from the main street so it's easy to get a park.

Thanks for a lovely brunch today! We loved looking around the grounds after a great meal and hot choc! We will be back for more soon. Ham n cheese toasty was great and so was the vegan breakfast and scones! Yum
