Rivergrass Cafe

Lovely little cafe that we stumbled across while driving around. Spectacular pies and friendly staff. Well worth a visit if you're near Launceston. The desserts looked tasty but we didn't have the room in our bellies after the great pies.

We live in Sydney by come to Tasmania to visit family. We always take the opportunity to go to this cafe. There is a wide choice of delicious food served by cheerful and helpful staff. It also has a friendly atmosphere with views over the water.

Best Scallop Pie in all Tassie I have eaten. Finished with an rhubarb apple turnover. Everything was so delicious just want to lick the plates 😋😋

A little hidden gem. Had the best ever pie ever at the Rivergrass Cafe. Coffee was excellent as well as the coffee. Must visit if in the area.

I had a Steak & Guinness Pie and a flat white coffee. Both were excellent. Service was super friendly and the cafe had a great atmosphere.

Amazing pies, unique flavoursome options, all home cooked by a lovely couple. The best I've ever had, wonderful coffee as well. Worth a detour to stop at if you are in the area

Can't decide which pie to choose from, they all look really yummy! So I took staff's advice and tried the crispy skin duck Pie. It's really tasty! Hope I can pass by again soon to try other pies!

This cafe is awesome. Beautiful home cooked pies and cakes and lovely staff. Closed Sat Sun and Monday though.

Friendly staff and exceptional food. The vegan options are delicious. There is a vegan entree and dessert available.

Nice family owned cafe, beautiful staff. We just had a peas & bacon soup for a snack, and it was great for rainy winter’s day. However menu is mostly pastry and snacks, so don’t expect main dishes. But definitely worth a visit👌🏾

We have had the exceptional pies before, so today we tried the big breakfast. Ummm, wow. It was great! I can honestly say, this breakfast was perfect!

Fantastic pies! The scallops in the pie were very fresh and the portions are generous here. The pies also come with a side salad. Other than the scallop pie, the crispy skin duck and the sausage roll were delicious too. The pastry and filling here are top notch

I had a crispy skin duck pie and a slice of lemon curd cheese cake and it was all absolutely perfect. Friendly service. Could have eaten one of everything.

Positively the best Pies 🥧 and presentation we have ever experienced. Everything is freshly handmade on the premises and the pies come with salad and home-made special relish. We have tried Scallop pies, Beef pies and will be returning for Crispy Skin Duck Pies. Ample parking, friendly service and comfortable seating make for a superb eating experience. Truly the folk here work very hard to bring you their best and it shows.

Lovely staff and good menu. We had their handmade curry scallop pie and it was absolutely delicious
