Singapore Baker’s Cafe

This is a really nice place. The sticky chai was about what I would have expected when I was in India (although not as sweet as normal, but that's fine). The prawn curry was outstanding, I've never has a prawn or seafood curry like it, the tamarind and coconut milk blend well together. I loved my chicken curry, and how the pieces were so fresh and big. The quality was very good and the pricing was outstanding. The fish and chips looked really good, clean toilet too.

4 of us decided to pop in here for breakfast, and all were very happy with our meals. All of our meals were delicious! On recommendation of our wonderful waitress, I had the chicken curry with eggs. The piggy slab of bacon that came with the Eggs Benny was so thick and tasty, and with a beautiful hollandaise sauce. The poke bowl with extra salmon was incredibly generous, and the scrambled eggs were lovely and fluffy. Highly recommend popping in here for a meal, or even just a coffee.

We have just had a lovely morning here. Breakfast options are delicious and fresh. Great coffee and even better little cakes. After you can buy fresh homemade bread. Super friendly atmosphere. I would love to come back again.

Found this place by accident and left with a big smile on our faces. Everything was delicious from the gluten free cakes to the Asian vegetarian curry, not to mention my special turmeric soy latte. The owners and staff were amazingly friendly and kind. Thank you so much! The Hungarians 🇭🇺

Recommended by a friend I was blown away by the authentic flavour infusions, use of local home sourced products and variety.
I ordered (not sure of the name) but it was Squid cooked to perfection...and plenty of it !
Served on a bed of chick peas, greens, avocado, tasty cherry tomatoes, crumbled goats cheese and wonderful vinaigrette dressing... Simply superb..each flavour complimented the other, nothing overpowered... big 5 stars for a lovely experience, gorgeous out look and professional friendly service.
Location is lovely and an easy drive from both the West Tamar and East Tamar, approx 15 mins from Launceston

Stumbled upon this place whilst driving up western side of Tamar river, loved the seafood curry and salmon poke bowl! Great Singaporean flavours :)

Great food in Gravelly beach! I had a smoked salmon bowl which was amazing. Staff is really nice too!

We are regulars at this well located popular cafe on the river, with both indoor and outdoor settings.The food is great, where else do you get a prawn curry with nine prawns? Try the take out meals also great to have in the freezer for unexpected visitors.This is the go to place for the locals with a large cohort of regular supporters. Mark and Bee are very attentive and their staff provide great service. Its a cafe not to be missed if you are visiting the Tamar area.

We were staying at Grindelwald and we (three families) dropped in after going to a winery in the area. They accommodates us at short notice, served food quickly and all the food was excellent. It's not licensed but they will charge corkage and serve you wine (which is a good idea given the wineries in the area). I had 'Mark's Tasting Plate' which was excellent and piled high with good stuff. Definitely recommend.

They do get busy but if thats the only con they are doing great. The food and location is devine and high quality. The menu options are wide enough to suit everyone and presented so nicely. The staff and owners are friendly.

Dropped in for a Valentines day breakfast. My wife had the mushrooms, with eggs, blue cheese and truffle oil. I had the breakfast special with pork mince, steamed rice and egg. I was transported back to my time living in Singapore 20yrs ago. The food was astounding. The flavours perfectly balanced. Everything about the place was lovely. We'll definitely be back!

Dining here is always on point for presentation and taste. Mark and Bee are welcoming hosts and Bee's tasty cakes never fail to impress. All meals use the freshest locally sourced products so the menu always has great specials on offer.

I had the Tamarind coconut curry prawn dish here, and the depth of flavour was amazing. Preparing the curry takes time and it really showed in this dish. Will definitely return.

Excellent service and very authentic food

They have absolutely nailed it with amazing food, great service, friendly staff, a beautiful view and great value for money. Each meal is well thought out and very tasty. One of the best cafes in the Launceston area, i highly recommend a visit.

We got some takeaway curries and desserts and they were SO delicious! If we were staying in the area one more day, we would have returned for another meal. The owner was so lovely as well. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous atmosphere. Fantastic service. The food was five star, and we were allowed to mix and match from the menu. The view was an extra bonus.

A friend and I enjoyed a wonderful tasty lunch there today. I had been advised of their foods on offer, but I was very surprised at the range and variety. I'll be returning for another meal shortly.
