The Pastry Place Robe

I don’t want to over exaggerate… but these guys make the best croissants in the southern hemisphere! No debate.
We visit Robe twice a year and make it a priority to visit the pastry place every morning for an amazing coffee and croissant. There’s a few key things to tick off when going to robe and the pastry place is one of them. It doesn’t take long to see that the owner pours her heart and soul into every single item she makes. The gourmet pies and sausage roles are mouth watering as is everything else they make.
Can’t recommend highly enough!

Small selection of beautifully crafted pastries. Must be the moistest friand I’ve ever had. This is not a general bakery - it’s so nice to find alternate offerings. Really nice coffee with alternative milk options. Only a few tables inside & out. Prompt friendly service. Unfortunately no gluten free options.

A local recommendation was to swing by and get the pork and fennel sausage roll first thing in the morning. I managed to score one straight out of the oven and it was delicious! Service is hit and miss depending on who helps you but happy over to look it for the deliciousness of that baked amazingness

Listen, I've certainly had better coffees but the nutella croissant was the best pastry I've ever eaten in my whole life. I'm glad I don't live in Robe because I would eat one of those every day. Carrot cake was also good with super yummy cream cheese frosting. Cant wait to go back

This bakery makes the best pie I have ever had in my life. Tried the beef, bacon and onion pie after a previous bakery in town left us disappointed. This pie was anything but disappointing. The beef was chunky and delicious, onion visible and added the perfect slightly sweet note with the bacon perfectly rounding out the flavour profile. This pie was so good my partner and I went back the very next day for the same pie, a lamb and rosemary pie and the sausage roll. Both were just as incredible as the beef pie. Would book accomodation in Robe for an extra day just to try more of their products. In hindsight should rate this 1 star, because ever future pie I have, will leave me disappointed.

Beautiful coffee and pastries!
We enjoyed a late breakfast here with delicious coffees, perfect sausage rolls & the croissants are amazing, we had a ham & cheese, Nutella and an apple & cream croissant, all so good!

Great coffee and friendly service and thought the reviews on the croissants were exaggerated but wow.

We had takeaway coffee from this place every morning on our stay in Robe and it always was made to perfection. 😁

A tiny little shop off the main shopping strip in Robe well worth a visit. We had the Lamb, Rosemary and Vegetable Pies for lunch and they were a generous size, hot and delicious. The pastry perfection and the filling rich and full of flavour. The pies were served (takeaway) in foil pans which made them easier to eat. We sat outside on one of the four tables provided for patrons and ate our lunch with our pups, enjoying the fresh air and a good cappuccino. The pies were very filling, so the piece of Hummingbird Cake I fancied came home with us for afternoon tea. This was moist and lightly spiced, delicious. Highly recommend and did not find what was offered too expensive (as some reviews have mentioned). The pastries are high quality, generous and beautifully presented. We will return for lunch again before the end of our week in Robe.

Amazing coffee, and croissants easily in the top 5% of croissants I’ve ever eaten in my life. The Nutella croissant was so generous with the Nutella, and we were lucky enough to get warm chocolate croissants fresh from the oven. Crispy and buttery and absolutely delicious.

Everything we had was superb, but the croissants were as good as any outside of France. Made with real butter, flaky and a real mess to eat but not a flake left on the plate 😁 Fantastic

The pastries are excellent. A good range of pies, pasties and sausage rolls. They all have generous "filling to pastry ratio" when you start the pasty you don't just get a mouthful of dry pastry. They also have macarons, lemon tarts etc. I loved the apple cream croissant too. You won't find yeast buns though.

Had Beef Bacon & Onion Pie. Been travelling around OZ & this was the best pie by far. Pork Apple & Fennell Sausage Roll was awesome too. Make a fantastic coffee & staff were lovely. Definately have to stop in.

Best tarts I've ever had. They are the things dreams are made of. I have thought many times - should I make the 8 hour drive to Robe to have another tart from heaven? !!
