Noosa Hinterland Retreat

We had the pleasure to have stayed in Noosa Hinterland Retreat recently. Russ, the host greeted us upon arrival and Russ’s friendliness made us feel welcomed and comfortable instantly. The location is fantastic just in the outskirts of Noosa and the place was so peaceful.
The room was tastefully decorated and we love the yummy complimentary breakfast that was provided with our stay. We left a couple of our belongings behind upon checking out at the retreat but Russ went out of his way to make sure we received our items safely.
We felt at home and will definitely recommend Noosa Hinterland Retreat to anyone visiting Noosa.

We went on a baby moon with our dog Andy. We all had a great time during our stay. Russ was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The balcony in the forest was super tranquil. Staying with Noosa Hinterland gave the whole family a great break. Thanks Russ!

Stayed here on two separate occasions in 2023. Tried to book a third stay at short notice but sadly (for us) Noosa Hinterland Retreat was fully booked. And it’s easy to see why!

The accommodation was sensational. It was a combination of the decorating, cleanliness, serene outlook and overall tranquil atmosphere that made it stand out.

The first time I stayed I arrived travel weary. The prospect of going out to get food was not appealing. Unexpectedly, delicious, healthy snacks (smoked salmon, boiled eggs, fruit, veggies, yoghurt, cereal, fresh milk and juice) were all provided in the kitchenette.

The next stay we had a different gorgeous room and, again, healthy snacks.

We were also travelling with two small dogs and were very fortunate to have found accommodation that accepted them.

Russ is an outstanding host and I have wanted to leave a review for some time.

We will definitely book ahead to secure accommodation here in a few months time and already look forward to our stay!

We had two nights in the Lotus Room at Noosa Hinterland Retreat and would absolutely recommend and visit again. About 25 mins drive from Noosa, it felt like we had our own rainforest backyard. The room was really well equipped with everything we could need and felt really luxurious. It rained a bit while we were there but we were still able to enjoy the deck outside and take in the beautiful surrounds. Russ was lovely and came to greet us when we arrived and was happy to help with any questions etc. We drove into Noosa each day to surf and then went to the nearby lookout which was stunning. Would love to stay again and look forward to doing so!

Exceptional! Was the perfect Weekend getaway location. Close enough to downtown Noosa and far away enough to feel like your alone and in your own piece of heaven. This is a perfect retreat for a re-charge, Surrounded by trees, birds and wildlife we highly recommend this. Russ provided great customer service with all the comforts of home. We will be staying here again.

This place is truly quintessential Queensland! It is amazing and Russ is a great host. Lovely breakfast with fresh produce, beautiful furnishings and excellent amenities. Russ even took care to post me an item I left behind. That is the stuff an excellent host is made of. Will aim to be back. Great place to explore Noosa and the Hinterland too.

We recently committed to a one night stay at Noosa Hinterland Retreat, after deciding it was a better alternative to work! 😁

As requested, I reached out in advance to confirm our arrival time which, in turn, led to regular and prompt responses from Russ, the owner. Even better (unexpected and greatly appreciated), we received a room upgrade after our original room became unavailable until later in the day.

We stayed in the Japanese themed Lotus Room, a stylish, modern, impressive affair that offered all we'd need. It was very clean and tidy, equipped with TV (Inc. Foxtel and Netflix), fridge, microwave, and BBQ (on the attached deck, which is both large and private). The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was very dark at night (a bonus), and the bathroom was spacious. For the record, the shower had ample pressure and was a pleasure to use.

The included breakfast was varied and exceeded our expectations. We were given an assortment of fruits, bread, croissants, yoghurt, pastries, fruit juice, tea & coffee, pop corn, and cereal. The chocolates on the bed were also a lovely touch.

The location itself was great. Tucked away in the natural bushland of Noosa's hinterlands, it provided a quiet, relaxing environment that was scenic and secluded. Naturally, you will deal with the neighbouring room and the main house itself but, for us, we barely saw another human being the entire time.

Overall, the room, service, breakfast, and location were all excellent. It was money well-spent and we happily recommend Noosa Hinterland Retreat to others.

Just had a perfect stay at “The Orchid Room” of Noosa Hinterland Retreat (would recommend going on properly website to appreciate the difference in each accommodation).

It was a perfect 1N/2D recharge my partner and I needed. Russ was very communicative and helpful, the property is beautiful, cosy and immersed in the beautiful surrounding nature. Loved the brekkie spread. Great location - short 15 minute ride to town for anything you need so it’s a gorgeous getaway but not too isolated!

Loved our stay at Noosa Hinterland Retreat! The location was perfect - only a 20 minute drive outside of Noosa and right near the Noosa National Park. The host was really kind and helpful. The studio apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed. Also had a lovely outdoor patio and yard. The pool area was gorgeous. Loved our stay and a great value for a quality place!

Me and my hubby booked this trip for a mini get away for our anniversary and before our baby comes in November. We had the apartment booked for one night. Gavin was so welcoming on our arrival. Advised we could stay the next day until lunch time if we liked as there was no rush to leave. The room was very well equiped with information on what to do in the area. Loved that they also supplied juice, eggs, yoghurt, fruit, pop corn and pantry staples. That shower is amazing!!! Did not want to leave. We will definitely book again for a weekend away in summer so we can use that amazing BBQ are and pool. Thank you for looking after us. :-)

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Everything you could possible want. Incredible breakfasts, service just so wonderful. Host couldn’t be more helpful. Highly recommend this place.

If you like the outdoors this is the place to stay. Amazing walks and mountain bike paths. Accommodation was clean and breakfast was lovely and thoughtful with everything you could ask for.
Would recommend and stay again.

Fantastic, hosts couldn't do enough for us, room was beautifully decorated, self catering facilities available. Dogs welcome. So so quiet it was perfect

Great reception from hosts, well maintained good facilities...a hidden gem hideaway ! Close enough to Noosa beach by taxi, highly recommend climbing/walking up Mount Tinbeerwhar for sunset !

Such a beautiful location, the room so comfortable, and so friendly, dogs loved the yard, I was happy to sit outside and listen to all the wildlife

Great little getaway place. Far enough from hustle and bustle of big smoke but only 15 -20 minutes from Eumundi, Noosa etc
