The wait is over after a well deserved break this Restaurant is back open for Winter. Been here many time's you won't get better, we are so lucky to be locals and have such a great Restaurant with superb food and service. Thanks Guys.

The atmosphere is terrific with a central large fireplace crackling in the background. All courses are to a very high standard. The dishes themselves tend to be sweet. Anyone should be able to find something to love on the menu.

Birches Restaurant is located on a beautiful scenic mountain drive at Mount Mee overlooking beautiful greenery and unmistakable Brisbane country land. They're open for both lunch and dinner, while serving a range of locally sourced meats and seafoods options alongside some amazing cocktails and drinks! Just like most of the other restaurants they offer both indoor and alfresco dining in a tranquil setting.

From the moment we arrived until we left, the hostess waitresses had beautiful rememberable hospitality customer service like nun other.

Hubby had
• Greek spiced calamari
• eye fillet cooked medium
• chocolate caramel macadamia tart

The food was so worth it. The food all arrived at the table at the same time. Impressive. Very generous sizes. Each plate looked carefully handcrafted and the flavours took us all to places where we couldn’t stop talking about it. In that moment we all became professional food critics. We were all blown away by how delicious our food was. Certainly a very talented chef. Hidden gem.

Highly recommend giving Birches a try. They are welcoming and friendly and you need to phone or email to make reservations. Would recommend making a reservation so they can cater to you. 🙌

Omg what an amazing restaurant! We had the 3 course meal option. There were four of us and not one of us came out disappointed. The meals/deserts were so beautiful and well presented full of flavour & great sizes. Cocktails were also well made and fresh, no fake ingredients. Totally recommend this restaurant the staff were so lovely and full of smiles, hats off to the chef. Thank you Birches, have not been able to rave this much about a restaurant in a very long time, we will be back ❤

Went to Birches for a Christmas in July dinner and it was amazing. This booking was a spur of the moment decision 6 months ago. We walked in to a Merry Christmas greeting and the sound of live music, my wife and I love live music, playing a mix of Christmas carols and other songs, modestly decorated, not over the top, and the tables well presented in a Christmas theme. To complete the atmosphere we had a table near the fire on a nice cool evening. All the staff were friendly and appropriately attentive i.e. they didn't leave us hanging but didn't hover around the table either. The food was nothing short of excellent, we went there expecting to order Christmas fare like ham and turkey, but when I read about the BBQ pork dish and its baked pear, and pear and cider cream I had to order that; I was not disappointed. As it was a Christmassy theme I remembered to get some good photos, so have attached a few. I hope you enjoy the pics and the review helps you decide to give Birches a try. We will be taking the whole family back next Christmas in July. UPDATED 6 November to add pictures from a family dinner on the 5th of November.

Rich, wood interior. Wonderful,, attentive staff. The fireplace makes this restaurant look like it would be a great place to gather in winter.
Everyone in our party appreciated their food (not a common thing these days to be able to please everyone in a group).
Dietary notes gluten/dairy free were clearly marked.
The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
We would gladly return.

We visited on a weekend where there is a 2 or 3 course set menu with many options. The atmosphere was excellent, the service really good and the food sublime.

What an amazing place, quality food that we couldn’t get enough of, professional & beautiful friendly staff, we simply can’t wait to come back! Everyone’s meals were nothing short of incredible & mouth watering!! We loved being there for dinner & chatted the whole drive home about how good it was ☺

Though it was a long drive of about 45mins+ from Brisbane City, it was definitely worth a journey across the mountains and farms.

The atmosphere was amazing, the service too was good and not to forget, Our Compliments to The Chef. This is the first time in my life, I tasted something new and it was different. My Uncle forced me to have Moreton Bay Bug. When I heard the name, I said no way I'm going to eat Bugs for Lunch 😃. But then I realized it's a kind of sea food and tasted like Crab and Prawns (not exactly though). While the other Family members had Fish of the Day with Prawns, Gourmet Steak Burger and Eye Fillet Steak. I tasted everything and it was good.

Finally we ended our meal with Deserts, and it was best thing to do 😉. From Lemon Myrtle & Vanilla Bean Panacotta to Decadent Chocolate Pecan Whiskey Fudge Cake to Apple, Blueberry & Almond Crumble. We enjoyed even bite of our meal.

All round amazing ! from the staff, the food, the service and attention to detail. My husband and I had a 2 course lunch here (entrees & mains) and the food was delicious, very flavoursome & cooked to perfection! Had some great conversations with the wait staff too. Such a great view and restaurant layout, we'll be back !

Lyn.Belinda & staff looked after our table of 5 yesterday for my sister’s birthday. The food was excellent. The customer service was better than excellent. Thank you for making my sister’s birthday celebrations one of the best she has ever had.

Delicious Asian influence on more traditional meals, wide choice, excellent and friendly service. Definitely worth visiting. A lovely drive from Brisbane through magnificent landscapes. Great weekend destination!

WOW okay first off the fireplace itself is amazing. the VIEWS were amazing. even though the prices are a little high, the portions and taste make it worth it. The servers are extremely kind and thoughtful. i’d definitely recommend this place!

found this resto coincidently ... service is good like 5 star resto and food was soo good ... i had eye fillet with garlic, white wine & shallot cream and my husband had chicken and prawn jamaican curry. then for dessert we had trio ice cream .... i recommend this resto if you are in the area ....

ATM there is a set menu November 2021. Amazing value $65 for 2 course or $73 for 3 course. Outstanding meals. All meals were a generous serve. Fantastic service. Great coffee and wine list too.

Staff were very welcoming and the food and atmosphere were great! Definitely a must do in the area.

The food is amazing, the staff are happy and friendly, they have seating inside and on the verandah, have a central fireplace in the winter, a must place to go and eat at.
