Broken Hill Airport

Fueling easy to find right from taxi way. Also possibly the tallest refueling ladder so far! Great for those of us that might decide to fly a float plane to Broken Hill.

Adorable regional airport. It’s a throwback to a different era that’s for sure but it has all the basics. A cafe, seating, car hire, free parking and loos.
Everything is on the one level and it’s a walk out from the terminal to the planes, they’re all propeller planes that fly into Broken Hill.
Qantas and Rox both fly here and have check-in desks. Car hire desks next to ‘arrivals’ - Hertz, Avis etc.
The Royal Flying Doctors museum is next to the terminal.

We had to leave our mine site, but couldn't from that airstrip so departed from Brokenhill airport instead.
There's a wonderful Cafe there to eat and drink before your flight.
Toilets are clean.
Lots of parking.
It's very well kept and comfortable inside while waiting for your flight.

Great little cafe, great staff & good for a laugh. Go the extra yard to help you out. The RFDS Museum is worth a visit.

Great airport..Everyone is helpful and friendly..A few car hire places to choose from..stick with set fee upfront and reliable like Hertz or Budget..they don't add on fees and always reliable..
Taxis are good too..closeby to town and well versed in local activities and tourist venues

My 747 over ran the runway, but the kind and friendly locals helped me pull it out of the open cast mine and pumped up the tires. They then proceeded to ply me with alcohol and local foods. What a wonderful time I had!

I arrived at Broken Hill airport days after surgery on a broken femur in Adelaide. Staff were considerate and respectful.

Small airport and easy to navigate. Great place to visit.
