A really nice lookout point to stop at if you're just passing through. Nice place for a few photos. A little windy for a picnic. But also a popular place where surfers park their cars and do their thing on the beach nearby

Beautiful place for a day trip. Can camp there hut we didn't. Great little shop with necessities, ice creams, coffee and hot food. Toilet block is usable. Right beech to the beach. Play ground short walk away and a caravan park.

Certainly one of the most stunning and famous points on the NSW northern coast.
It was a beautiful day when we came here and the clear sky made for perfect viewing. Hastings Point Lookout is a place we check out at any given opportunity, it's never the same whenever, today we watched a large pod of dolphins surfing and further out a massive school of tuna feeding.
If travelling through , make sure a stop here is on top of the list.
Highly recommended.

Spectacular! So glad I visited. The whole area is so beautiful. We made a day trip down from the Gold Coast and had a lovely drive to the Point. Parking available but a bit busy on the weekends. Nearby markets and township made for a great day trip.

Amazing beach!
Whale watching mecca, loved it. Were fortunate enough that they were very active today in the choppy waters

By the time we arrived, about 10.30am on a Sunday, the crowd was starting to pick up. It's a beautiful look out. Below are amazing rocks pools to explore, and a lovely little beach. Hastings point is low key, compared to some of the other areas up the East Coast between Byron & Goldie. Let's keep it that way ;)

Hastings Point - the Jewel of the Tweed

Hastings Point is located in the Tweed Shire of Northern NSW around halfway between Byron Bay and Surfers Paradise. The area is known as the 'Jewel of the Tweed'.

On the left of the Hastings Point Lookout- Cudgera Creek is a great place for families with young children and the soft flowing waters provide a relatively safe place for the kids to swim. The area is also popular for surfing, fishing, paddle-boarding, low-tide rock pools and river kayaking.

We were lucky to see whales 🐳 from the Hastings Point Lookout. Stunning view and beautiful coastline.

Beautiful views and lots of car parks on site. Can walk down to the sandy area of the beach and there's lots of grassy areas where you can picnic.

Stunning spot to capture magnificent views! We rode our bikes here and then walked around soaking in the sun. Love the tropical trees. Not far from Kingscliff NSW.

Lots of parking spots, lovely to have a picnic and watch the surfers and waves.

We got to see a handful of Dolphins slowly swimming by and coming up for water.

Awesome experience.

I absolutely love going to Hastings point, it holds a very special place in my heart, I really love that it’s quiet at night, and beautiful during the day for whale watching and watching the waves crash into the rocks with a beautiful grassy hill to relax on.

Nice stop along the way to or from Kingscliff beach and Byron. It was a little too windy to swim the day we went (and too late as well), there is some parking here and good to stretch your legs

Perhaps the best view on the east coast... South to Cape Byron, north over Cudgera Creek to Caba headland and Beyond to Cudgen, west to Mt Warning (Wollumbin) and it's volcanic caldera, east into the endless blue of the South Pacific where you might see a whale or a pod of dolphins playing in the waves. You can park here for hours and just watch the waves kissing innumerable kilometres of white sandy beaches. Appreciate this sacred place of exceptional beauty, and respect it by leaving nothing but your spirit.

Fantastic views. Spent our time whale watching along with dozens of other people, a lot of activity but unfortunately to slow to get a good picture.
