Perfect place to stay and unwind with excellent hosts! We love the area of Uki and keep coming back. Mt Warning is spectacular! Especially with afternoon drinks on the deck watching the sun go down! Very peaceful.

I stayed here recently with 7 girlfriends on a "Girls Getaway". We had such a great time. It's very comfortable and well appointed with loads of space for all us to hang out together and find some space alone.
Friday night we had drinks on the lookout deck til the sun went down and the fireflies came out. wow!
Saturday morning we checked out Uki Village and the very cute market, then walked around the properties orchard & Saturday we had a top feed at Mavis's Kitchen - not 10 minutes down the road.
Sunday was HUGE brekkie on the verandah and then some pool time. I cam from 2 of us came from Brissy (an easy 1hr 40min drive), other came from Byron (35 min) and we even had a friend come up from Melbourne - she loved it!
Highly recommend this property for families or a small group of mates to get together. Its gorgeous and there is no need to leave. I'm going back to feel some more of the serenity!

Great place to stay, with amazing local hosts who can provide information on places to visit in the area. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a hinterland retreat.

Mal n Laura's place is fabulous..everything you need is provided..so friendly and close to all exhibits in Murwillumbah Arts trail

Uki is a village situated near Mount Warning in the Tweed Valley of far northern New South Wales, Australia in the Tweed Shire. At the 2011 census, Uki had a population of 765 people. Its name may have come from an aboriginal word for "small water plant with a yellow flower and edible root". The name UKI was actually derived from the limber mills in the area. Prime timber for export was marked UK 1, as in timber destined for the United Kingdom - grade 1. Hence UK1, which colloquially named the township UKI. source
