Anchors Wharf Cafe & Restaurant

Have wanted to get in here for a meal for some time, and tonight I was at loose end on my own, so headed down to try it out.
From the moment I walked in, it was amazing. Warmly welcomed and seated with menus. As a chef (now retired) I thought the oysters extravaganza sounded way too weird not to try (avocado on oysters?) - so started with them. They were absolutely delicious. Followed this up with a perfectly cooked, tender scotch fillet. Probably the tastiest meal I’ve had in the region in many meals.
The staff were attentive, responsive and really friendly without being over bearing - just perfectly hospitable. I couldn’t fault a single thing with the meal or service. Well worth it, and I’ll certainly be back now I’ve tried it, to keep ploughing through the menu.

Had a delightful lunch here. The staff are friendly and attentive. Food was great. Thai King prawn salad for my wife and new England Lamb backstrap salad for me-delicious!
We'll probably visit again next time we pass through Urunga.

We had a family meal for 6, the staff were attentive and present , the place was clean and present , the view was excellent it was right next to the water, the menu was accommodating for all , food, cakes, coffee , bar and drinks, they have it all. It’s not cheap but it’s fair, food was worth it and they made our night, everything was good

I absolutely ADORE this restaurant! It's in a beautiful location, the food, people and atmosphere is just incredible! Cannot fault a single thing! We had to stop not only on our way down to Sydney but the way back to Brisbane, too!

This little restaurant on the river delivers a top notch delightful experience. The staff are super friendly and funny. We ate the seafood platter which was fresh and delicious and the cocktails were made to perfection. We will definitely be dropping in again on our next trip to Urunga.

Denise and Steve, the owners of Anchors are lovely, passionate, and have a terrific, friendly, welcoming nature and it flows to all of their staff. The service is truly 5 star. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, the view and the location are relaxing.
Definitely would recommend a visit for lunch or dinner and afterward a walk on the nearby Urunga boardwalk makes for a perfect day.

Incredible experience with exceptional customer service and high quality food. I had visitors from interstate and took them to my favourite restaurant- Anchors Wharf - for dinner. They had such an amazing experience they asked to go back for lunch the next day before they left to return to their home. We can talk highly enough about all elements of the restaurant. Staff managed both our large dinner booking, as well as breakfast the next day, extremely well. Food arrived in a reasonable time, and everyone was happy with their dishes. I had the beef rib for dinner which was tender and delicious, and with the accompaniments I could barely finish it all.

Beautiful location, there’s something to enjoy about the view day or night.

Tried Surf n turf, such a big portion but I managed to finish it haha, loved it, only thing is that it was a bit salty.

This restaurant just has to be one of the best in Coffs Harbour. The menu and food is absolutely fantastic. The service is exceptional!!
If you haven't been there, then you would have to make it a priority to do so!!

If you are thinking of stopping for breakfast at Coffs Harbour, DON,T!!! Just 20km south of Coffs Harbour is Urunga. And it hiding the best kept secret. Anchors Wharf! We stopped there for breakfast and I have not had better. As we walked in we were greeted by the Owner. She was lovely. We had our beagle “Benny Buttons” with us and they were quickly able to accommodate us. She even gave him a “pupa-ccino”. Sitting overlooking the river was so relaxing in the morning. A great setting and great start to the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and there was nothing that was too much trouble. The food exquisite! They also do lunch and dinner as well.

Fantastic place for food! Beautifully reconstructed and I am glad to see this place booming. Have been going here since I was a child and it’s such a land mark place in Urunga. Again the food is great! I can’t wait to try more stuff on the menu!

Thank you Meg and Kate for making yesterday so very memorable, you were both so delightful, so welcoming and we had such a special day. The food was fantastic, I would highly recommend Table Smoked Prawns & WA Octopus & the XO Prawns - delicious. We will defiantly be back - next time with a few friends. Thank you again and thank the wonderful chefs and other staff they all seemed to be enjoying their jobs on a super busy day.
