Andersen’s are pulling some strings as I write an update to my review and they do their best to accommodate my demand for need of service and mostly unable to give much if any notice before pulling up in their yard screaming for repairs to take place so I can get straight back on the road so I am not put in a position where I lose my load due to an inability to show up within the time slot that was arranged for the job, small delays are something we can deal with and arrange a solution that works for everyone but there really is not much room for a delay of more then a couple of hours and anything after that is almost guaranteed to be a loss and the load being cancelled, that being said, Andersen’s have been great and extremely flexible to getting the truck in the workshop and making necessary repairs to get me back on the road moving towards the next destination.

Had what I needed as usual

I’m a Female travelling by myself. The Engine light came on as I was heading out of town toward Toowoomba. Knowing there was no phone service for most of the journey to Millmerran I turned around. Camped in goondiwindi for the night and Phoned them at 7.30am and explained situation, the man said phone back at 8am so I did. Was told to bring it in they might look at it in the afternoon or next week sometime! I asked if they can just look to see if I could limp to Toowoomba. After an hour in the waiting room was told they were too busy to even put the Hino diagnostic computer on it today to see if it was safe to drive. They told me to take the gamble and drive and if I breakdown someone will come from Toowoomba. There is no service so breaking down means flagging someone down to get word to get help. I am also travelling with a horse in tow. I am aware that I am not a regular customer but I have been told that putting the diagnostic thing on doesn’t take a huge amount of time and telling a female to take the gamble and drive 120km without service and pray you don’t break down seems very poor. This business is the only mechanic in Goondi that has the Hino diagnostic tool.

“24 Hour Breakdown”…. Whoever has the breakdown phone on weekends isn’t concerned if someone is broken down after MULTIPLE calls for assistance or the website information is outdated for “Breakdown Assistance”
