The portions were massive for a $15 share plate.

My husband and I went on a Wednesday night especially for the 2 for 1 schnitzels. The schnitzels were thick and juicy with a crisp crumb. Chips also crunchy & soft on the inside. Salad fresh with a delicious dressing. Ate the lot and could not fault our dinner. Staff friendly and quick service. Could not recommend highly enough and we will be back for sure.

Dropped by here before we went bowling next door and absolutely loved it!! The service was very quick and quite entertaining from the staff who were all very friendly. I had a dish on the special which was a Thai red Curry mussels and it was amazing 😍 very filling, the curry was bursting with flavours. Very spacious too, I will definitely be back.

Celebrated our sons 21st downstairs in The Embassy Room !! September 2023. Fantastic vibe, yummy food & excellent staff. From my initial booking through to the night, just fantastic. Cooper, Mikey, Tim, Bridget - so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Cannot recommend them highly enough. My son said it was ‘the best night of his life’. Thank you Team Republic for your contribution to it’s success. The only negative feedback is I wish the room could hold more people. (Holds 130-140) We would have invited more if the space permitted.

I always have my End of Year Get Together here for my clients of Gain Momentum Pilates. We always enjoy the food, the atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Will come back again next year!

We booked an area for a 40th Anniversary of starting our Nursing Training. What a great venue for us….so much so we are having another catch up this weekend!

A BIG shout out and thank you to EMMA, who looked after us this afternoon for lunch. She was quick and professional, taking down our orders and bringing them to our table. The food was HOT, tasty and the size of the portions were amazing. The Bangers and Mash were very good, the gravy that went with it, was just the right consistency to be gravy without being gluggy. Dessert was sticky date pudding with ice cream, and even though we were told by Emma that the freezer was on the blink and that there a possibility that we may not get the ice cream, but whipped cream, it was a smile on our faces to see ice cream. The mug of cappuccino was hot, though strong enough to taste coffee, not some tepid tasteless mix. The overall impression of the Republic was a pleasant one, noting the size of the dining room we were in, where there was plenty of room. It was bright, airy and we could sit at our table without feeling cramped and uncomfortable. We left the hotel with a POSITIVE experience and would like to visit again. Great food, great service and attractive hotel. Thank you.

Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, prompt service, and friendly staff. Would highly recommended the fish and chips or the chicken schnitzel. Will definitely visit again.

We have been here a couple of times now and it does not disappoint. Staff are always friendly and happy. Ordering is now even easier having the QR code at each table for online orders.
After having a shocking lamb pie at another pub I was keen to try it out here. This one was awesome!! Lots of tender lamb that was so so tasty. If I could, I'd be back again tomorrow for another one 🤩

There was a large group of us for a team lunch booking. The day before our booking we determined that we needed an urgent meeting space before our planned lunch at the venue. The Republic were fantastic and put us in a quiet separate room for our meeting, and then back to our table in the beer garden for our lunch. Food was great and delivered in a timely manner also. Thank you for being so accommodating.

Fantastic pub in Norwood. Very friendly and helpful staff. Tasty food. Had fun with friends at the quiz night. Highly recommended for a good time.

We recently celebrated my son's birthday with the family and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Everyone loved their meal and the service was fantastic.

Our second visit here for lunch and it was great. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and the seniors meals are excellent value. We will be back again soon.

I adore this place. Staff is attentive, and food is always good. Great space for a lunch or a big group meal.

Know that siren to siren Afl games is $20 Jugs and pints are $10 each. So if you are planning on having more than 2 beers buy Jugs. Staff are great.

Bit pricey but location is great and quality and service A+ would recommend if your in the area

The lady taking our orders at the bar and assisting us with the wine selection and meals was outstanding. She epitomises customer service.
Also the chefs on today, what brilliant meals being prepared. Moroccan Lamb and the scotch fillet steak with red wine juz and mash, omg I could have liked the plate. My smile was not contained even with food on my teeth.
Well done you guys

P.S. Shiraz 2018 Elderton was one of the nicest Shiraz around

WOW! Now that’s a schnitzel! Great meal sizes, hand crumbed schnitzels are crunchy fries. I came here and booked the casual dining area on a Saturday night and I know that this place is a bit of a party spot however I was unaware they’d seat us smack bang in the middle
of the club. I had a blast because of it; music was a bit loud to talk to each other but the atmosphere was awesome. Great food, great music, good times.
