Alfies Holiday House - Port Vincent

Great budget accommodation. Sleeps 18 even though rooms are a bit small. Excellent outdoor living area with wood fire heating and outdoor kitchen. There's a cubby house for the little ones, a games room, fire pit, fish cleaning area, crab cooker, pretty much everything you need when holidaying with a large group of people.

Fantastic place with amenities galore! We will definately be back! As we always do at these types of places, we try to leave it cleaner than we found it. Did the required stuff but also gave some TLC to the BBQ on the veranda, with some oiling and emptying/cleaning of grease trap area. Also was alarmed on first night discovering no bog rolls to be found, but father-in-law saved the day with one from his Ute, visit to IGA next day should cover next visitor. Lovely place, definitely plan on coming again and for a longer duration. Thanks Alfie and clan!

It's a good homely stay, reasonable
But food you have to carry with you ,
As a weekend stay it's good .Backyard, etc.v.nice.

Had a family reunion at Alfies in Nov. 2017. It was just the best place.

All ages 3 to 80 can enjoy the great outside living and the inside comfort. Recommend it to anybody who wants a relaxed special time with family or friends.

Beautiful family holiday place

Lots of space for the kids or having big groups, only one shower and toilet though.
Ants were a real problem when we were there (March). Had to store a lot of problem food in pots in water baths - nothing else was safe (besides fridge). We had ants in the master bedroom, in our clothes just anywhere. We were provided extra baits but it really needs a proper spray or something. I've had less problems camping.
However, the location, size, multiple living zones are great. The lawn is nice and well looked after and the kitchen has everything - it just may need a clean first.

Hated it ants all in the beds on arrival. Worse than a detention centre. Mozzies all through the kids cubby house. Table tenis table held up by old out door table. Bbq covered in ants. Dirty kettles and appliances everywhere. Definitely not for the family. Pictures in stayz website are old and outdated. Dont waste your money. Not to mention unfortunately port vincent a place i loved for all my life has gone down hill. Only good thing there is the kiosk.

Tried to book and found out that 4 of the bedrooms are located in a shed with only a screen door to protect the room from the cold. Was told by the owner that our 18 month old son needed to toughen up and sleep in a freezing cold room in the middle of winter. Will look for somewhere else to stay.

Ridden with mice. Outdated and lots of clutter in the house.
