Very cool planes and a lot of information about them. Cafe and gift shop at entrance. Needs pass which you need to acquire at the start, simple process. Very friendly staff, no complaints about anything really. Very nice hangers and wow these planes are huge compared to what they look like in the air. I took some photos to show the inside of the heritage centre.

It was 44 degrees C the day I took a couple of mates to have a look at some wonderful aircraft, and we weren't disappointed. It was well set up for doing a self guided tour, but there were also plenty of volunteers there who were keen to help if required. We enjoyed our visit and appreciated the opportunity to get up close to the real personalities of our Australian Air Force.
Cheers!

Plenty of aircraft to check out, from planes to helicopters.
During weekdays you'll have a better chance to see military aircraft operate, whereas weekends you'd be lucky to see any.
It's free, but donations are welcome.
Onsite mini Cafe with hotdogs and chips.

The length of wait just refers to the visitor induction. Wait times aren't really a thing here

Took my kids here for an open day. Was absolutely amazing getting to show them some of the history. We got to try on the gear they would carry in war, they were amazed at how heavy it was. We absolutely loved looking at all the aircraft and vehicles.

Absolutely brilliant! Really well done to the RAAF for putting this all together. Everyone was so friendly and hospitable. Plus all personnel were so engaged and eager to share stories and give an interesting background on all the various exhibits.
Definitely recommend this for everyone young and old.
Just remember to use the "South Amberley Rd" gate as Google took us to another one.

What a wonderful place. So many beautiful aircraft displays and the staff were so informative. We watched the F111 fire video which was quite well done. If you are interested in aircraft, this museum is well worth the effort.

I was on a work visit with clients, and the entire process was remarkably straightforward, thanks to the exceptionally helpful staff. Our visit to the museum was accompanied by a full escort, and I must commend the top-notch security measures in place.

The guide volunteers were truly kind and informative, offering a wealth of information, particularly about the World War era artifacts. However, it's worth noting that the storage sheds, which currently house these historic antiques, might not be the most suitable infrastructure for their preservation. Stable permanent structures could better safeguard these treasures.

One aspect that could use improvement is the lighting within the sheds. In case of inclement weather, such as rain or storms during the visit, the lack of rain cover walkways could potentially hinder the experience.

Regrettably, the cafe was closed during our visit, which prevented us from enjoying a meal inside. Understandably, this was a weekday, so it's not something to fault the museum for.

A bit of a process performing the induction but understandable and highly worth the effort, because the personal tour conducted by the friendly and knowledgeable staff/volunteers is very informative/interesting. The aircraft and information on display is fantastic.

An excellent aviation collection relating to the RAAF, well worth a visit. However, it is only open on the 3rd Sunday of the month and due to being located on an active RAAF base security restrictions apply, you can only apply to visit by using the online system. but worth the effort

Took my wife, daughters & and grandchildren to this wonderful museum. The grandchildren loved it & we plan to visit again. Due to the museum being on an active base there are security requirements that need to be completed on line & then on arrival. It's FREE to get in, we'll worth the effort.

This place was awesome. The staff were knowledgeable and the signage helpful. One of the better things I have done around the area. You won't be disappointed. I didn't pre-purchase tickets, but got right in anyway and it wasn't crowded at all. The museum it's self is very airy and was comfortable even on a fairly hot day. I say don't miss it.

Great place just outside of Brisbane to explore the aviation history of the RAAF. We have been lucky enough to have helped in the relocation of some of the planes on display in the museum.
