Zarby's Cafe

This amazing little 50s diner is a hidden gem. We had amazing waffles and bacon with maple syrup and fresh fruit. Breakfast was just delightful. A must visit of you are in the area. The atmosphere was relaxed and very friendly. The food was just divine, and the staff were bubbly and friendly. And the menu was vast. We will be back for lunch next time. But we will definitely be back.

My sister and I ordered a chicken club burger and a chicken caesar wrap and the staff put a lot of effort to make sure it tasted and looked great. Friendly service too.

Absolutely the best coffee made to my taste I've sat down an enjoyed.
The toasted sandwiches were golden brown and tasted great.
Staff are also friendly and helpful.
Very clean inside & outside eating area.

Fantastic service and yummy cafe style food. Generous sized servings! Inside and outside seating available. They also had some very nice looking baking and while I'm not a coffee drinker, it smelt great and people sipping on theirs looked very happy. Worth a stop in and beats servo food hands down.

We love Zarby's Cafe at Mt Ossa. Welcoming atmosphere with a breakfast menu and wonderful all day menu complete with a great coffee and cake selections. Staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I wanted a variation to the menu item and that was easily accommodated at no extra charge. It is one of our favourite places to visit.

Stopped in here for a quick coffee break and a bite to eat on the way to Mackay and the ladies that were working were so lovely, especially right on opening at 6:30 in the morning! The coffee was so good too! 10/10. Thank u so much for a great experience!

What a pleasant discovery! Very nice and stylish cafe, fantastic breakfasts and wonderful staff! I really didn't expect to find a place like this here in the middle of nowhere. Super recommended guys don't miss this chance to have a unique breakfast.

Just the hardest working girls who give a smile now matter what! The vibe is amazing, felt like we were home, we even bumped into an old friend Zoe. Food was great big portions and when I asked to change something for my breakfast, it was done with a smile :) no worries !
We were just felt so welcomed and as part of the LGBTIQ community that can be hard when it’s a small rural pit stop 🤠😍🏳‍🌈

The nicest coffee in the district, staff are welcoming, friendly and professional. Well presented store and decor is a step back in time. Very nice food, price's are very competitive, most definitely worth a visit, thank you ladies for your wonderful service. 👍

Awesome little diner just off the Bruce Highway, everything on the menu is a delicious choice and the family that runs it offers impeccable service. So good it's a destination in and of itself!

We always thought this cafe was an industrial building when passing by on the highway. We stopped this time and found a good cafe with great burgers and service. The cafe is decked out with coloured booths and Jukeboxes like in the 50s, Elvis Presley type decor. People are friendly, and for a couple of pensioners relatively cheap.

Great little Cafe fresh food, great service, and clean all-around perfect and good size I will be using zarby's as a rest stop as I'm passing through.

Great atmosphere with a good retro feel. Coffee was goof and packed a punch and the cake selection was quite extensive. I is a bit hard to spot from the road as there is only a little sign, so slow down when you come to the little town.

Friendly little cafe on the highway just out of Mackay. Stopped in for a coffee, which was perfect. Merlo brand barista made hit the spot. Has a great vibe and the staff were super friendly

Great meal and wonderful friendly service, really well set up for an easy dining experience with children which is always a special bonus. Extensive children’s menu & drinks, kids toy box, books & arcade games which made it possible to enjoy a coffee in peace. I wish more venues catered to children in this way as it makes for a better dining experience for all.
Very clean ammenities and awesome retro decor throughout. Hope to make it back for another visit one day.

Great place to eat and bring your family friendly staff and great service. Home made delicious food and great daily Specials. The works Wedges are to die for and so is there homemade scones and cheesecake. Great little coffee stop along the highway 😊

What a surprise so glad we dropped into this gem. Had the best roast chicken and gravy in the freshest roll. Thinking I walked into happy days set .
